This hotel was exactly what we were looking for; a lovely historical building full of antiques and pictures of life as it was in Scanno in times gone by. Our bedroom had a huge luxury ensuite bathroom with beautifully painted ceilings depicting birds and wildlife. Our bedroom was also very comfortable with old antique furniture and again hand painted ceilings. Good internet connection.||We have travelled to many countries over the years and stayed in many different hotels but have to say that at the Antica Dimora we were shown outstanding hospitality by the owner and his wife. A charming couple who did everything possible to make our stay comfortable and memorable.||Finally - the restaurant - the hotel have brought in a new chef who was bouncing with new ideas and had a versatility and breadth of knowledge of good Italian and in particular regional cooking that was impressive. We ate there every evening! Why would we go anywhere else? They also had a good selection of wines from Abruzzo and we were carefully advised on what to take indeed our last night we asked the chef to prepare for us what he thought we would like!||All in all - lovely people in a lovely environment.
