Il Caminetto Ristorante Enoteca — Restaurant in Scanno

I ate at "Il Caminetto" for dinner a couple of days ago and I'm choosing the restaurant for today and tomorrow. Starting from the beginning, I am highly lactose intolerant and they took care of me, recommending me some options from the menu in order to still enjoy the food. I gave them a call in order to make sure that I could reserve a table and I immediately had the impression of such nice and gentle people, which I later confirmed once I got there. Each one of the waiters is smiling and doing the job in a gentle way, they are really interested in your culinary experience and the guy that was serving my table was pretty caring without being bothering and pushy. The food is so tasty and it follows the tradition of the region, prices are more than convenient for such a quality. The place is not too big yet not too loud, and this is great if you are trying to escape from the usual confusion of the mass tourism. I consider this place a cozy hidden gem and I definitely...

Siamo andati con la famiglia a Scanno per passare una giornata diversa verso le 11:45 abbiamo incominciato a telefonare a diversi ristoranti per prenotare ,purtroppo tutti pieni, l'unico ad avere posti era appunto Il Caminetto, ed abbiamo capito il perchè !. Abbiamo ordinato 2 antipasti della casa (che dovevano essere a loro detta abbondanti) ma erano veramente miseri poveri di roba. Come primo degli gnocchi al sugo di ragù, gnocchi che si impastavano in bocca con a loro detta sugo ma era un brodo rosso e la carne inesistente, gnocchi alla crema di noci e speck qua si sono superati veramente qualcosa di immangiabile ,come secondo salsiccia e agnello , la salsiccia era cruda insapore e piena di pepe qualcosa di immangiabile l' agnello era cotto bene ma totalmente privo di sapore, Il contorno ci avevano detto che portavano delle patate al forno , ma erano delle patate bollite e poi messe al forno per cosi poco tempo che erano ancora fredde di frigo. Anche il servizio molto basso. Siamo rimasti veramente male , e a digiuno anche i bambini non hanno mangiato nulla , una volta alla cassa dopo aver pagato gli abbiamo detto che tutto era pietoso e una delle loro risposte è stato che oggi era il primo giorno di apertura. Giriamo spesso per l' Italia e una cosa del genere non ci era mai capitata...

Absolutely lovely place just outside of the historic center (follow the street signs, not Google Maps, to the actual location).
