Medousa Novel Food — Restaurant in Scilla

The novelty about the food here was actually how bad it was, clearly our worst lunch in a week of Calabria. We started with a okay appetizer of cured prosciutto and cheese but our main dishes were mediocre and just downright bad, absolutely flavourless pasta with some commercial tomato sauce and the grilled calamari still cold from the freezer and raw when they were served to us. After we returned them to be grilled some more, no apologies were offered, instead we were completely ignored thereafter. The lovely lady who served us was very kind. The views while sitting outside are lovely lovely lovely - beach and Stromboli and the wild Italian drivers! I told the lady we did not want bread to maybe make the cover charge less but it was still quite expensive per person. The red wine was quite disgusting so I would not go for that. We had lunch. You’re really paying for the view. It’s beautiful by the sea. We ordered a swordfish panini burger, which the restaurant is known for. Personally, I didn’t find it very special; it was an okay burger, but you pay €15 for it. The panini seemed rather small for that price. We also ordered some extra fries.
