It's a rare place where great Italian food and an outstandingly beautiful setting become one. Ladies at this restaurant get a menu without prices, which is a romantic old school habit that I approve. Prices are above average for Sestri Levante, and a bit exaggerated (30 Euro for Pasta with pesto, potato and beans), but you probably won't eat there every day. The catch of the day ligurian style is really amazing, using high quality olives. Spaghettone alla Chitarra equally tasty. One of the best things I have eaten in recent memory were raw red prawns on the Starter plate. They tasted like sea butter. One thing that stood out on the menu was Irish Beef Tartare. I wouldn't put Irish meat on the menu at such a Restaurant. It doesn't fit. Wines are of course excellent. The waiters all speak good English, but the service was not very attentive. When we refilled our wine, one waiter said he could do that for us - yes, he could, as in all quality Restaurants, but nobody ever did refill them that evening. In all fairness, it was saturday night, and the place was buzzing, but having someone check on us only every 20 minutes or so was a bit slow. That said, I would go eat there every time I'm in...
Read moreReally dropped their standards on service this year. Came with my partner and child. Had a reservation. Arrived as soon as it was open. Asked to be seated on the terrace gazebo to be denied by the staff, saying “it’s for loyal customers”. Took us 30min to order, and after that the service did get better. Don’t know if they only cater for visitors a vis guests, and ignore the rest, but hugely disappointed. I will never bring by business guests or personal guests here again.
Update: following such a response from the owner, I am truly not surprised the standards have dropped so much. Booking made @18:42 for a 19:30 table indeed. No seat choice available and arrived to an empty restaurant. Asked for any table on a flat surface as the tables on the cobbled stones were shaky. However, good to know, never to come here again.
But Gin tonic? I only drank a ichinusa the whole evening… my partner had a hugo. Either you have me confused with someone else, or you are running out of ideas. No discussion whatsoever about me refusing a beach table. Please get your facts...

The Restaurant has an amazing location, but at our table a lot of stuff wennt wrong, de first course was good, the main course a disaster. The Chef of the kitchen is known for his risotto, so i told the waitress if its possible to have risotto to my fish menu would be nice and if thats not possible, Im good with the regular side, the fish came but with no risotto at the side, even my sister (she took the regular sidedish) had no side dish. so we waitet like 10-15min and then we asked, then they first told me that its my fault because i orderd risotto and not the regular side dish, the risotto will take 40min so i didnt wannt it anymore. 5min later the chef de service came with a plate of risotto, actually i didnt know if it was risotto or a lake of butter with a little bit of rice in it, but the rice was swimming in fat, and so i brought the plate to the boss and told him, he can eat that by himself. The thing was the restaurant manager and chef de service did not even care about our complains, its a...
