Locanda In Urbe — Restaurant in Spello

We had just made a loop through the town when we started to get thirsty and we found ourselves right in front of In Urbe. We went in just for a cold drink but the big welcoming smile of the gentleman behind the counter drew us in and there we sat for two hours talking to him about living around the world and great food, of which theirs is included. We had the Parmigana panini which was amazing! We take photos of every meal but we ate it before it even occurred to us to take a photo! Every element was amazing. Then the owner walked in and we heard all kinds of great details about the town. Next, two more customers came in and everyone was talking to each other, such a lovely intimate setting. Durante una passeggiata nel suggestivo centro storico di Spello, abbiamo scoperto il piccolo ma accogliente locale "In Urbe", che consiglio vivamente a chi cerca una pausa gourmet in un ambiente autentico e familiare, con un'attenzione particolare ai prodotti locali e alla qualità del servizio. L'esperienza, infatti, è stata davvero piacevole sotto ogni aspetto.

Il locale, pur essendo piccolo, è ben inserito nel centro di Spello, con delle sedute esterne accoglienti e ben organizzate in un pittoresco vicolo adiacente. Un’atmosfera intima e rilassante, perfetta per godersi un buon pasto o un aperitivo.

Abbiamo ordinato un Tagliere GranTour, che si è rivelato un'ottima scelta. La selezione di salumi, formaggi e verdure (ho adorato i pomodorini confit!) è stata abbondante e perfetta per due persone, con prodotti di qualità eccellente. Un particolare apprezzamento va alla selezione del formaggio stagionato 48 mesi, un vero plus per gli amanti dei sapori intensi.

Durante la nostra visita, il locale proponeva la "Settimana della Crescia", un’alternativa ai classici panini e un'opportunità unica per assaporarla in una varietà di interpretazioni.

Un altro punto di forza è l'eccellente selezione di vini biologici e biodinamici, provenienti da piccole aziende locali. Un vero tesoro per chi ama scoprire nuovi sapori e sostenere la produzione vinicola del territorio.
