Dinner on Monday 13 October 2025 Our last meal this holiday and we chose this superb value pizza restaurant. One bottle of water, one half litre of white wine at €8, one Insalata Caprese with focaccia bread at €9.50 and one Pizza Aretusa (cherry tomatoes, mozzeralla, parmesan and rocke) at €9 cost only €33.00!

Dinner on Saturday 11 October 2025 Not as busy as it should be! One bottle of water, one half litre of white wine at €8, one Insalata Misto with focaccia bread at €11 and one Pizza Norma at €8 cost only €33.50! Best value for money in Siracusa.

Dinner on Tuesday 7 October 2025 Really windy weather and a seriously scary aborted landing (which was diverted to Palermo). Quick turnaround and everything was only slightly scary upon landing at Catania. We had no lunch and early drinks so we tried to get an early dinner elsewhere. No chance! One bottle of water, one bottle of Passo Del Lipo at €15 (not available so we had to order Matto Syrah at €25), one Insalata Grigliata at €9.50 and one AMAZING Pizza Aretusa (cherry tomatoes, mozzeralla, parmesan and rocke) at €9 cost €50. The ONLY time my wife has ever left a glass of wine. I attempted to finish it off but it was still too much. Staggered home holding hands through dark, albeit familiar streets. An incredible full moon hanging low in the sky lit our way home.

Dinner on Monday 26 May 2025 Fourth visit this week as this is probably the best value restaurant in Ortygia. One bottle of water, one half litre of lovely white wine at €8, one Insalata Grigliata (aubergines, tomatoes, a huge piece of mozzarella and basil) with a plate of focaccia at €9.50 and one Pizza Burrata (cherry tomatoes, pistachio pesto and Burrata cheese) at €10.50 cosy €34.50.

.Lunch on Sunday 24 May 2025 Third visit this time and the sun was out and so were the customers. One bottle of water, one half litre of lovely white wine at €8 and one perfect Pizza Aretusa {a crispy base with a soft crust and cherry tomatoes, mozzarella and rocket) to share (as we are getting too full at the end of our Spring holiday) at €9 cost €23.50.

Dinner on Friday 23 May 2025 Almost empty on a Friday night but the food is fantastic and the prices are very low! One bottle of water, one half litre of excellent white wine at €8, one Insalata Caprese with a plate of focaccia at €9.50 and one Pizza Norma (aubergines and hard ricotta cheese) at €8 cost €32. What amazing value!

Lunch on Wednesday 21 Nay 2025 This year we had a chat with Mariam, a young woman who we met last year. One bottle of water, one half litre of lovely white wine at €8, one Insalata Misto with a plate of focaccia at €11 and one amazing Pizza Aretusa at €9 cost €34.50. Their pizza selection is amazing and the prices are unbelievably reasonable.

Lunch on Saturday 28 September 2024 Really hot today (high of 35) but we sat outside in the shade and were cooled by a gentle sea breeze. One large bottle of water, one half litre of white wine at €8, one Insalata Misto (aubergine, avocado, carrot, cherry tomatoes, egg, lettuce and sweetcorn) at €11 and one Pizza Aretusa (cherry tomatoes, mozzarella and rocket) at €8 cost €33.50.

Dinner on Tuesday 24 September 2024 We were remembered from our last visit! One small bottle of water, one half litre of white wine at €8, one Grigliata Insalata at €8 and one Pizza Norma (aubergines) at €8 cost €29.50. Really good food at ridiculously cheap prices.

Lunch on Monday 20 May 2024. Third visit in four days! This time we sat outside in glorious sunshine! One bottle of water, two big glasses of lovely Sicilian Chardonnay at €6.50 each, one Insalata Caprese at €8.50 and one Pizza Vegetariana at €8 cost €33.50. We promised one of the owners (Sajit Mia) that we would return in September. Had to wait for a big group of teenage boys with weak bladders but the toilet is still the cleanest we have...

Brutta esperienza. Ci hanno incuriosito le tante recensioni positive (non capisco se tutte veritiere a questo punto...) ed abbiamo deciso di provare. Siamo stati di sabato sera con i bimbi. Prenotiamo per le 20:00. Arriviamo alle 19:45 e ci avvisano che entro le 21:00 dobbiamo lasciare il tavolo. Non era certamente nostra intenzione coricarci lì o rimanere al tavolo fino alla chiusura. Personale scorbutico e solo a tratti efficiente. Le pizze hanno un buon impasto ma i condimenti sono ridotti. Quella con bufala e pistacchio è ridicola: la bufala non ha il gusto di bufala (probabilmente non lo è) ed è pochissima. Al di sopra una spolverata (ma proprio la polvere) di pistacchio. I bimbi prendevano solo la poca mozzarella di sopra e lasciavano il resto quasi solo crosta e pomodoro, un'indecenza per il prezzo di circa 10 euro. Conto salato. Abbiamo lasciato e di corsa il locale prima delle 21:00 nonostante le pizze (non abbiamo preso antipasti) siano arrivate alle 20:35. Non ci hanno chiesto ne in sala ne alla cassa come fosse andata la cena. Non ci ritorneremo sicuramente.

L'unica cosa di cui siamo estremamente felici di questa recensione e che lei non tornerà più...le persone che non hanno rispetto per il lavoro altrui preferiamo perderli che trovarli...intanto chiediamo di liberare il tavolo alle 21.30 e non alle 21 come dice lei, semplicemente per poter fare due turni e accogliere più persone visto le dimensioni del locale. Dare un'ora e mezza di servizio non mi sembra poco e avvisarvi prima non vuol dire insinuare che vi vorreste coricare qui ma informarvi per dare rispetto a chi prenota nel secondo turno. È semplice organizzazione in un mestiere che voi non conoscete! Dire che le recensioni non sono vere e che la bufala non sia bufala a mi avviso si chiama diffamare....mah! Personale scorbutico quando mi sono fatta aiutare da mio figlio 14enne che ovviamente non è abituato e quindi più rigido, ovvio che voi non ne foste a conoscenza ma semplicemente ci vuole sensibilità prima di scrivere una recensione e immaginare cosa ci sta sotto...una famiglia che tira a campare dopo due anni di incubo che ha colpito il nostro settore. Detto cio...Tanti auguri per la vostra vita e mi raccomando meno acidità !!!!

Parole come "diffamare" e "non avere rispetto" o "sensibilità" per il lavoro altrui mi sembrano esagerate e, queste si, derivate dall'acidità. Ma non la mia.

Mi sono limitato a dire quale è stata la mia esperienza e ciò che penso. Punto.

Impari a trarre dalle critiche spunti per migliorare anziché attaccare le persone e dire che è meglio che non vengono più nel suo locale.

Cerchi, inoltre, di ricordare bene come sono andate le cose, perché a noi, quando ci siamo seduti, ha detto di lasciare il tavolo alle 21.00 e non alle 21.30 (quello lo ha detto ad altri clienti), ed anche il MODO in cui lo ha detto.

Ci può stare che di sabato avete 2 turni o anche 3, non mi sono lamentato per questo.

L'aggettivo scorbutico non era di certo riferito a suo figlio, che è stato molto educato e professionale.

Il brutto periodo del covid non ha lasciato in ginocchio solo i ristoratori ma anche le famiglie e tutti cerchiamo di sbarcare il lunario ma questo non c'entra niente con l'educazione o il modo di accogliere e trattare i clienti.

We came to the restaurant at 8 PM. It took the waitress a long time to come to our table, and overall, the service was really disappointing.

We ordered pizza and a salad, both were ok, pizza is good, but the experience was let down by poor service. The “salad” was just a bunch of vegetables roughly cut and served without any mixing or dressing, and it was even more expensive than the pizza.

What made it worse is that the restaurant wasn’t even busy, just us and one other table so there was no reason for the slow service. After we finished eating, the waitress didn’t come to clear our table for a good 20 minutes. I had to ask her to come so we could order dessert. She took our order but didn’t clear the table, and when she brought the dessert, she just placed it over the dirty dishes and only then started clearing a bit.
