Bar Caruso dal 1988 di Merlino Salvatora — Restaurant in Syracuse

Sorry to say, but that was the worst pastry I've ever had (including France and mainland Italy). I could barely finish it, it was that bad. The croissant was hard, almost as if it came out of a fryer, and the filling they told me was chocolate was almost inedible. I had my husband try and he said it was plum, which would make more sense tbh. The coffee was good yet small and the staff was friendly/smiley. I hate leaving bad reviews when the service is good but I really struggled with that pastry....

진짜.. 시라쿠사 머무는 동안 5일을 갔어요.

주로 아침에 갔는데 조그마한 가게인데도 아침에 사람들이 바글바글했어요.

커피,빵 다 맛있는데 그라니따가 독보적이이요. 진짜 독보적이에요. 그라니따도 맛 별로 다 먹어봤는데 리코타랑 ✨피스타치오✨를 꼭 드세요!!!(피스타치오그라니따 꼭 드세요ㅠㅠㅠㅠ)

I went there five days during my stay in Siracusa.

I mostly went in the mornings, and even though it’s a small shop, it was always crowded with people.

The coffee and pastries were all delicious, but the granita was on another level.

I tried almost every flavor granita, but you must try the ricotta and ✨pistachio✨!!! (Please try the pistachio granita, seriously 😭😭😭)

The elegant nonna (grandma), the barista uncle who looks like the vocalist from Maroon 5, and the owner who resembles Chris Martin from Coldplay… I miss...

Tutto ECCELLENTE! per due settimane di seguito, con la famiglia ho fatto colazione al bar Caruso che ha annesso anche il laboratorio. Mega brioche calde e morbidissime, Mega Cornetti e altri tipi di dolci per colazione, tutti mega ovviamente, granita alle mandorle con cannella (squisita). Da figlio di ex pasticcere, lo consiglio vivamente anche per la parte di rosticceria, arancini cipollina ecc. ecc.. E' un tipico bar siciliano che non ha la politica dell'arricchirsi a tutti i costi, oltre ad vere prezzi giusti ha orari umani per chi ci lavora, il pomeriggio tardi chiude e la domenica riposo settimanale. Mi è capitato di andare nella domenica di chiusura a fare colazione in altro posto che non è stato assolutamente all'altezza del Bar...
