Closed Thursdays.

Lunch on Tuesday 20 May 2025 The first place we visit twice a year. One bottle of water, one litre of pretty good red wine at €12, one Pesce Spada alla Griglia (swordfish) at €16 and one Spigola alla Marinara (sea bass) at €16 cost €51.

Dinner on Saturday 28 September 2024 This restaurant is always full of Italians so what does that say about the quality? We were still full from lunch so we only ordered one course each. One bottle of water, one litre of excellent white wine (in an attractive tall glass container which was a bit difficult to hold!) at €12, one Peace Spada alla Marinara (swordfish) at €15 and one Spigola al Vino Bianco (sea bass) at €15 cost €48. Next Spring I have to try the Parmigiana Melanzane. The staff knew that this was our last visit this Autumn so wished us a safe journey home.

Lunch on Wednesday 25 September 2024 One bottle of water, one litre of great white wine at €12, one Caponata to share at €10, one Insalata Mista at €5, one Patatine Fritte at €4 and one Involtino Spada (rolls of stuffed and breaded swordfish) at €16 cost €52. We have booked an inside table for Saturday night!

Lunch on Tuesday 24 September 2024 The first place we eat at when we have lunch in Siracusa. One bottle of water, two half litres of lovely cold white wine at €12, Insalata Verde at €4, Insalata Arance @ €5, Spada Agrodolce at €13 and Spada Marinara at €15 (because they had run out of Parmigiana Melanzane!) cost €55. Great food in a busy and winding narrow street where people read the menu and walk on. What is wrong with them?

Dinner on Tuesday 14 May 2024 Busy outside and pretty busy inside so we were glad to have made reservations. One bottle of water, one litre of average red wine at €12 (next time stick with the wonderful white wine!), one Verdure Grigliate at €5, one Caponata at €9, one Pesce Spada alla Marinara (swordfish) at €15, one Spigola alla Grigliate (sea bass) at €15 cost €62. Really good value for money. If you have doubts, then look around at all the Italians dining at this restaurant.

Lunch on Tuesday 14 May 2024 Open from 12.45 to 14.45 so we managed to get an outside table after travelling from Catania Airport! One bottle of water, one litre of excellent white wine at €12, one Insalata Verde at €4, one Insalata di Arance at €4, one Pesce Spada alla Griglia (swordfish) at €15 and one Bigoli alle Sarde (thick spaghetti with sardines) at €13 cost €54. We have reserved an inside table for tonight.

Dinner on Tuesday 26 September 2023 Pretty busy for a very wet Tuesday night, with three large Italian families complete with children and babies. A bottle of water, a litre of house red at €12, two Insalata di Arance at €3 each, one Pesce Spada Agrodolce at €14 and one Paccheri Matalotta or pasta with fish of the day at €17 cost €54. Beautiful swordfish and properly prepared "al dente" pasta.

Lunch on Tuesday 26 September 2023 The very first place we visited! A bottle of water, a litre of house white €12, an Insalata Verde at €3, one Pesce Spada alla Griglia at €14, one Pesce Spada alla Marinara €15 and two coffees cost £52. The food and service were great and we booked again for tonight!

Lunch on Monday 15 May 2023 Great atmosphere and welcoming staff in a beautiful restaurant which soon filled up with Italians (singles, couples, groups and families with small children). We ordered a bottle of water, a litre of house white at €12, an Insalata Mista (including lots of lettuce and tomatoes) at €4 (!), an Insalata di Arance (orange salad) at €3 (!), two specials of Spada Agrodolce (swordfish) at €14 each and two coffees at €1 (!) each. The total bill was ONLY €55! The last time I got an excellent large salad for €4 was on our honeymoon in Venice. And that...

This Italian restaurant fulfilled all my expectations and fantasies about Italian cuisines! We came two times on a row, and still not get enough!!!!

The seafood is from the second catch of the day, it's so fresh and sweetly delicious, the oysters are giant size, its meaty, juicy and tasty! The shrimps & are eten raw, we could literally tasted the sweetness of the meat, and sea flavor. The raw tuna is sliced into thick chunks, its so satisfying to eat, taste like high quality sashimi.

The raw salmon meat is pinkish and creamy, taste amazingly good!

The grill house plate is insanely delicious. Especially the Seanad fish, it is a big size of entire grilled fish •, crispy on the outside, tender meat on the inside, not dry, not bitter, not overcooked but still got right amount of smoky flavor. The fish head is sickly awesome to enjoy slowly!

Their must try specialty is the pasta, actually all their pastas are superbly delicious, but one special kind can't be missed is the Bigoli, it's a kind of thick handmade pasta made of buckwheat, when cooked, the outside of pasta is covered with sauce and ingredients, its just satisfying to enjoy! We ordered three different kinds of pastas, and we finished them all.

Their homemade house wine is also very good quality, both red and white, perfect to pair with either the meat & or the seafood!

Me and my wife celebrated her birthday here. They even prepared a dessert & with a candle for her, and they sing the birthday song to her. It's a family run small restaurant but has a very generous hospitality and warm-hearted service! The owner, his sister, his mom and two very gentle waiters took care of us very well! This warm and sweet atmosphere and previliage can't be bought.

Lastly, the price is so down to earth, its too unbelievably cheap for such great food and service.

We are blessed to be able to find here! We definitely love this small restaurant and will come back many times! Your are highly recommended to enjoy here once...

Biggest disappointment on Sicily. Tempted by good reviews we went for dinner. The stuff came to us in the last order. People which came after us already got food - we were still waiting for Waiter. We didnt wait for food long time but the food was very disappoiting. I ordered Linguine with Shrimps - I got a lot of pasta, which tasted only like salt, couple of cherry tomatos, almost no sauce and 2 shrimps (which were halved - one of half was empty). My Husband ordered Bigoli with pistachios and bacon. The smell wasnt nice as like taste. The dish was so salty, bacon was like only fat parts of bacon. The pistachios was barely perceptible. The Crew saw that we stopped eat imidiately but they didnt even ask us whats going on. We drunk our beers and we went to the exit ourselves because no one was interested in us. The waitress left us a bill for 40 euros without a word. whether as tourists we are to be treated worse than local customers? in no other place in Sicily treated...

we went for dinner here, we sat outside on the little two seater tables as the restaurant was full. Really pleasant service and nice to watch the world go by in the early evening. He had seafood pasta which was sublime and we would thoroughly recommend for anyone looking for traditional food from the area. I am vegetarian and there isn’t a huge range of options, however I had bruschetta and a salad which were both delicious - particularly the fresh tomatoes and flavoursome olive oil. For deserts we had the chocolate and pistachio cake and a bottle of the Maria Costanza inzolia which is the best wine we’ve had so far and very reasonable at 24 euros.

Overall not bad experience, pretty cheap as for portions and pasta tasted ok (ordered famous and recommended by many chef’s option) I mean, it’s ok, see photo, but definitely nothing to book a table for, lacked seasoning and I got 3 shrimps heads, but only two big shrimps and a lot of mini shrimps)) but what made this mark low is mixed grilled fish main dish, especially tuna — as they said fish of that day — was way overcooked and dry (check pic), I don’t know how fish places can do this to grilled fish and grilled calamari — was very rubbery (we didn’t even finish that one). I wouldn’t visit again, but maybe we just got unlucky.
