Factory — Restaurant in Todi

Factory is a gem located a few steps outside the historic walls of Todi, with beautiful views of the Umbrian hills on one side and the old town on the other.

They are a cafè during the day and a restaurant + bar in the evening.

Everything they do at the Factory - from the locally handmade tables to the ingredients they use - is of the highest quality and with honest prices.

The service is friendly, they are always happy to accommodate your requests, they speak English, and there's fast wi-fi!

I can recommend them for:

Breakfast: they make pastry in-house every day, and it's the best I've had in Todi. All fresh, high-quality ingredients. From Italian croissants to pain au chocolat and smaller patisseries, everything is delicious. A must-try is Maritozzi, a soft cream-filled Italian brioche. They are the best I've had in my life. The coffee is also top-notch, sourced from a small roastery.

Lunch: from big salads that you can customize, to freshly made local focaccia, and other incredible primi piatti.

Dinner: the head chef makes delicious handmade pasta, ravioli, gnocchi, polpette, and much more. Again, everything is super fresh and of the highest quality. Here you can try local cuisine at its best.

Drinks and Aperitivo: drinks are great, and the small nibbles and tapas are the best in town.

Laptops: you can sit with your laptop and work, the seating is comfortable, and the wi-fi is very fast. It's the first place of this kind in Todi, and we LOVE it for that!

Ci trovavamo lì a passare per caso, ci han detto che il locale apriva quel giorno per la prima volta, aveva aperto giusto quel pomeriggio. Molto carino lo stile e l'arredamento, sicuramente un bel posto dove poter andare sia in estate grazie allo spiazzale dinanzi sia in inverno grazie ai diversi tavoli all'interno. Purtroppo però nonostante fosse la giornata inaugurale d'apertura non era previsto nessun buffet o brindisi o qualsiasi cosa di offerto come succede solitamente in tutte le nuove aperture, il che ci ha portati ad ordinare dal menù dove purtroppo i prezzi abbiamo scoperto fossero un po' Altini per poter cercare di creare da noi un semplice aperitivo/stuzzichino per accompagnare la bevuta. Non esisteva infatti nessuna formula aperitivo, con stuzzichini, tartine ecc inclusi nel prezzo dell'aperitivo per accompagnare i drink purtroppo. Per ordinare abbiamo più volte dovuto attirare l'attenzione del personale che nonostante fossimo seduti da un pezzo non ci hanno rivolto la parola e anzi apparivano al quanto infastiditi e indaffarati dalla nostra richiesta...
