Apparently, this restaurant has been around for many years, but I just found out about it. It was lunch on a Friday and was out shopping with mom and decided to give it a try. The place is rustic, welcoming and homy. Staff was friendly and service expedited. Mom had pizza, and I have to mention a few things about this. My mom is a retired chef and is very picky about her food including pizza and they made it just as she wanted it, so much so that after the meal she went to compliment the pizzaiolo (from Napoli). Another thing is that usually Italians don’t eat pizza for lunch, traditionally it’s a dinner social affair, and it's very hard to find a place with wood over (not electric) that makes pizza for lunch. I had the branzino al forno, which was cooked, brought to me whole and then cleaned next to me so I didn’t have to mess with the carcass but had the meat just melting in my mouth not having to worry about tiny fish bones. I must command the server who cleaned the fish because he did a fantastic job. Overall, service was great, food was delicious ambiance warm, so mom has already plans surprising dad there for his birthday next month! And I’ll definitely take my husband next time we go to Italy. I just wish this place would...
Read moreUPDATE: Had lunch and the food was still fantastic. This time we had the grilled fish plate. Everything looked fresh and perfectly grilled. Upgrading to 4 stars.
Excellent interior and good food. FOOD: for lunch we ordered lamb, steak, spaghetti, and pizza. They were all good. Good size steak but a little dry for our taste. Lamb portion was excellent and well seasoned. Spaghetti was lightly sauced but plenty of vegetables and cheese. Pizza was cooked well (not burnt) and light on the cheese. PRICE: Thought it was average and not too expensive. Lamb was €10 and margarita was €6. Cuperto was €2 per person. LOCATION: On the main road towards the mall from Torre. Easy to find and plenty of parking. MISC: good atmosphere and well decorated. Good place for bite to eat and enjoy...
Read morePizza was a big disappointment. Buffala cheese was in huge chunks and cold just like the tomatos, when the dough was dry and tasteless. We have tasted a lot of pizza in Italy and this unfortunately belongs to a "poor pizza category". Would never return back here for the food.
On the other hand: The service was great, wine was good and the atmosphere is relaxing. Mans toilet is horrible however. Have to do something about the quality of the...
