The two ladies serving were working so hard!

We saw some good and some bad reviews before we came her, but we’re enticed by the design and the location.

This restaurant could be amazing, but the owner decides to make two women do all of the work while he rolls around barking orders and doing nothing to help. The result is quite efficient service, but with no smiles and obvious stress for the servers. Things got slower as the tables got busier.

The food was ok. Mussels were amazing and the shrimp in the fritti dish were sweet and succulent, but squid was like rubber and not at all crispy. The pasta with zucchini was bland and needed pepper to give any real experience of flavour.

I felt sad that such a lovely venue with talented staff was so obviously let down by the man who puts the money in his pocket.

There are many fantastic restaurants in Trani and this could be one of them, but only if it is staffed properly, and managed by a person who really cares about the experience of...

I noticed mixed reviews and was slightly apprehensive but ultimately the lovely ambience- outdoor tables, Italian pop music- drew me in. And the menu is what I would always want- a little choice but not too overwhelming. Mostly Puglian specialties from what I know.

Anyway, it was an exceptional meal. The staff are of course busy but friendly enough, waiters spoke English happily which I appreciated. They do have menus in other languages which again almost caused me to dismiss it as ‘tourist trap’ but was ultimately helpful. I had the tortina with prawn and zucchini and I used the bread to mop up every inch. Then I tried rice with mussels and potatoes, and it was similarly delicious. The only slight negative is the wine was average but actually that added to the feeing of being in an unfussy Italian restaurant with just one type of wine, so in the end I didn’t really mind!

I would recommend and even return if I ever find...

Parto dal presupposto che sono appena uscito dal locale, consigliato dalla nostra oste gentilissima e ottima locazione come bed and breakfast, ma come consiglio ha proprio toppato. Siamo stati fatti sedere in un posto in pieno sole, e letteralmente durante il pranzo siamo cotti vivi, e già da qua l'esperienza parte malissimo ma comunque sorridiamo e andiamo avanti, durante la scelta dei pasti chiedo se l'impepata di cozze possa essere fatta più abbondante e alla mia richiesta segue una risposta molto sgarbata da parte della cameriera indicandomi che se ne volessi di più dovrei prendere un'altra porzione, giustissimo, son d'accordo infatti non critico la risposta in sé ma il modo. Sono in vacanza non ho di certo problemi a spendere anzi il contrario. Chiedo antipasto di impepata di cozze e insalata di mare. Sull'impepata devo apprezzare molto il sapore, la freschezza del prodotto e la cottura dei molluschi, ma una porzione pressoché infima, triste, deludente,un quarto delle cozze erano chiuse, che è normale durante una cottura, ma se già la porzione è piccola... Richiedo una insalata di mare, contenente seppie, polpo e gamberetti... Che dire porzione ugualmente infima, ma ancora peggio il sapore, per quanto dovesse essere un condimento semplice, era letteralmente insapore, pesce fresco si... Ma sapete siamo davanti al mare tutti lo hanno qua. Come primo scelgo un piatto di cavatelli vongole e cozze... Non sono mai stati così deluso LETTERALMENTE TRE COZZE DI CUI DUE CHIUSE, per la frustrazione le ho aperte io e chissà se stasera ne pagherò le conseguenze di questa mia scelta avventata Vongole sempre poche e abbastanza tristi, LA PASTA ERA DURA tanto che per la prima volta nella mai vita in un ristorante non ho finito il piatto...un gesto orribile e una Mancanza di rispetto nei confronti del cibo, lo so e ne prendo atto, ma poche volte mi son sentito così deluso, affranto, dispiaciuto e soprattutto scammato in vita mia. L'unica cosa che ho trovato piacevole era la cottura del polpo del secondo piatto della mia compagna... Certo arrivato dopo quasi 40 minuti dal termine del suo primo piatto e dopo 1 ora dal mio... Ma okay, ho trovato la porzione in linea con il prezzo nonostante tutto quindi era accettabile. Beh che dire una esperienza (in)dimenticabile tra porzioni vuote, personale sgarbato, posto a sedere orribile, avrei tanto voluto non essere passato per di qua. Questa situazione vissuta mi ha fatto comprendere qual è il mio desiderio durante i viaggi, voglio far sì che chi voglia esplorare e chi ami davvero il cibo possa godere di ciò sotto tutti i punti di vista, tanto che è la mia prima recensione, l'inizio di tante....
