RISTORANTE ROSA DEI VENTI — Restaurant in Trani

I had dinner there one evening in September without reading anything about the place beforehand. All the other places I've wanted to eat at were either closed or just empty. The service was rather fast and polite. There was an older server who was very polite and friendly. A head server was very loud, however, she making sure every table was taken care of. The food though. Just plain bad. I ordered linguine agli scampi. The sauce was too sweet and kinda like tomato juice. The shrimp itself was very hard to get to and none of it was mixed in with the pasta so I basically had a ton of sweet red pasta. My friend ordered aglio e olio and the pasta was definitelly under-cooked and not salty enough. No, it wasn't al dente. We were so surprised you can screw up a pasta dish. It was edible though so we hadn't complained and just ate our food and left. The view of the marina was nice. The atmosphere was generally pleasant, too. However, if you care about tasty food perhaps there are better...

Really "interesting" experience. An incredibly bossy and somewhat annoying main waitress who had obviously been given the job of training up the new staff (but her way of "training" was just being loud). Then two of our party ordered mixed fish but were given frutti di mare (this was also rendered as pesce in Italian so it wasn't just about the English menu)

They replaced it (but not happily and the bossy waitress gave us the side eye for the rest of the time we were there).

The view from the restaurant is good. Beyond that I can't...

Difficilmente lascio una recensione negativa e penso di non aver mai dato una stella a nessuno piuttosto preferisco non lasciare proprio la recensione per non danneggiare una categoria già abbastanza penalizzata dal lock down, ma in questo caso devo fare un'eccezione per la particolare gravità onde evitare di far capitare ad altri la nostra stessa esperienza negativa, che spinti dalla fame, dall'ora già tarda, senza consultare le recensioni ci lasciamo affascinare dalla posizione, da un menù interessante e soprattutto da un cartello ingannevole di un menù a 30€ completo di antipasto, primo, secondo, contorno e vino che doveva essere a scelta tra quelli del menù alla carta ma che quando lo abbiamo chiesto non esisteva, ci è stato risposto che quello era un vecchio cartello di 2 anni prima!!!! Strano però che era poggiato in bella vista e che alla prima folata di vento sia caduto quindi vuol dire che non era dimenticato lì da 2 anni ma ce lo mettete apposta per attirare ingannevolmente i clienti. Già per questo motivo saremmo dovuti andare via e avremmo fatto bene, perché dal menù alla carta a prezzi del miglior ristorante di pesce fresco come il cameriere vantava di essere, abbiamo invece avuto dei piatti di pesce che quasi sicuramente era congelato perché non aveva alcun sapore. Una delusione unica pagata a caro prezzo. Il mio consiglio non andateci e di leggere sempre le recensioni, oggi ho capito quanto siano importanti lo avessi fatto avrei evitato una...
