A bit more transparency would be appreciated — especially when it comes to charging extra for small food items!!!
We only stopped by for an aperitivo. The staff is friendly and attentive to customers’ requests. As for the prices — well, it’s no surprise. Even though they serve local wines (so not necessarily premium or particularly memorable labels), a glass costs between €7 and €12 — quite an exaggeration, but unfortunately in line with what you find in most central city venues. The real downside: we asked if they could bring us some olives — which, to be fair, were delicious and local — but they never mentioned there would be an extra charge. On the bill, they appeared as €3! We ended up paying €25 in total for three glasses of wine and a tiny...

We did not notice that at the beginning otherwise we would have left. The starter tartare was a 5 out of 10. The bruschetta missed the promised basil and the bread was hard as a rock. The main course was desastreus. The spaghetti with cream cheese were burned (black) one side and overcooked on the other. The souse was over salted. Not delicious at all. Read moreWe had a phenomenal experience in Versi di Rosso. They know their wines, they listen to what you enjoy and pair (ideally locally) to the tasting notes you describe. We had the €18 little cheese board, and it was fairly sizable, and compared with what we've had in Sicily, it was more than enough. The staff had such good knowledge that they took us on a white and red wine journey (couple), and it was easily our favourite place we visited on this coast of Sicily. Class service! Highly recommend 👌
