We had the roast meat platter for two at €36 which was predominantly beef (perfectly done but I don’t eat beef so the plan was I would have the lamb). The lamb was very sad - tiny little cubes of meat, a bit dry, on 4 small skewers - edible but not on par with the overly generous and succulent beef. The chicken was ok, but again not a lot there and the pork was very thin layer wrap round an onion. The potato were disportioncate in numbers (wedges) to the meat and just wasn’t very much. If I was to score this dish without the beef it would be 2.5/5 but my partner lived the beef so it gets 4/5. Also the app would not work to provide an English version of the menu and we were kind of just left to work it out by ourselves - thank goodness for Google translate!! The other thing was I asked for a box to take my gluten free half a bun home with some chicken on it as I want a sandwich with it the next day, and the young man went to take my plate to put it in a box himself - the waitress and I had to stop him, and I requested he brings me the box so I could handle my own food into the box. The vibe in there was a young age range of 20-30 year olds. However, for us being late 50’s/early 60’s, the music playing was on point - 10/10 for the choice of music! Cost of meal with 2 bottles of water (1 large, 1 small) was €46.50 for 2 persons, not bad… a bit like the food we had, it passed, it wasn’t memorable and the price didn’t hurt our...
Read moreGreat food, horrible service.
My partner and I had come back late from the beach and really wanted to have dinner there due to the glowing reviews (and would be fine with a possible refusal of service due to us being in our beach clothes).
We were given some of the lousiest service I have experienced. Here are some bullet points: we were seated at the very back of the restaurant at high bar-stool like tables, when multiple tables of two were available and remained empty for most of our time there. the staff on multiple occasions turned away from us when we signalled them by raising our hands. the plates with our food were literally tossed onto the table with what can I only describe as loathsome disdain. we weren't given any napkins until almost the very end and were constantly ignored by our waiter. my partner's plate was taken away while she was still eating without an explanation.
Overall, a dreadful experience, I would have much rather heard a "I'm sorry we're full tonight" rather than the "we don't want beach-dressed people in our restaurant, just your money" implicit message we got loud and clear.
The food on the other hand was really good which makes this experience even more unfortunate....
Read moreWhen you think of Trapani, a hamburger might not be the first meal that comes to mind. However, if you decide to give it a try, ió - EAT&GREET is the place to go. During our visit, we ordered the Mr. Wolf and Apolo burgers, and we were not disappointed. The burgers were deliciously prepared, and you have the option to choose from rare, medium, or well-done patties. The staff at ió - EAT&GREET is friendly, and the restaurant itself has a modern and clean ambiance. The atmosphere is nice, making it an enjoyable dining experience. Keep in mind that this is not the place to go if you’re on a diet, but if you’re not counting calories, it’s highly...
