ReBuild Pizza Gourmet - Trapani — Restaurant in Trapani

I've been to Italy many times in my life, but I've never had such a bad experience as at ReBuild Gourmet Pizza. We had chosen this place because it had a pizza for vegans in the “Happy Cow” app. Saturday night dinner 8pm 2 persons.

We waited 1:45 minutes for a simple pizza! Just reminded, Pizza is all they have on the menu. I understand, we're in Sicily, it was Saturday night, and it can take longer than usual. But that's just too much of a good thing. There was apparently a larger party that evening, which wouldn't have been a problem.

But the staff didn't communicate it at all. No-one told us that it would take longer. We weren't even asked about it in between, on the contrary, we asked several times and were always ignored. From a so-called "Gourmet" Restaurant I would expect some treats while waiting, some olives or some slices of bread to satisfy hungry bellies. Nothing. It was only when we ordered the bill because we wanted to eat somewhere else that we were served the food.

That came totally soggy and unseasoned, as if it hadn't been baked. Zero crust.

When I paid the bill inside, the weighter neither apologized nor did we receive any small compensation to show some sorry. A limoncello would have been a nice gesture, but there was none - the staff in this restaurant were totally unprofessional with us and hopelessly overworked. Unfortunately, there was absolutely nothing “gourmet” here....

Arrived at this restaurant very excited on foot of a recommendation from our hotel.

It was quiet and there were lots of free tables. We were told it was full and turned away. A couple who arrived at the door after us were offered a table.

The owner, a small bald man, was very rude and got one of his younger members of staff to turn us away.

Anyway, we left and had a beautiful meal elsewhere in a really nice wine bar called Garibaldi 58 bar, we would highly recommend this place.

On the way home we checked to see if this place was busy and it remained empty. This says a lot about the restaurant. It is obviously not a good restaurant and is discriminatory to non-Italians.

Pizza here was fantastic. We ordered the Rebuild and the Truffle pizzas as pictured. Incredible flavours, fluffy and chewy crust we loved it!

Was a little strange they did not have a drinks menu so had no idea on what we could order or prices. We had a glass of white wine each, and I had an extra red, both of which were enjoyable.

Only downside was when paying the bill, nothing was itemised we were just shown a number at the end. The wine over doubled the cost of our bill which is totally fine, but would be nice to know what to expect as wine was quite pricey compared to other restaurants in the area which had 100s of wine options at similar or even lower price.
