We arrived buoyed by visions of glistening oysters and the briny hush of a proper seafood house. What we got was a masterclass in starch. Service, to their credit, came with smiles but also the organizational élan of a paper boat in a squall. After a scholarly 45 minute meditation on patience, dishes began to appear in installments, as if our order were being released chapter by chapter.
The “seafood” course was a triumph of minimalism: a courageous lemon wedge and a mysterious sliver that looked like a fish had once passed nearby and left a note. One could almost taste the ocean, if one squinted and licked the rind.
Then the star of the evening arrived: fries. Not the lively, crisp edged kind that crackle when you breathe near them, but mushy potato wedges soft as apologies, salted with regret. At a seafood restaurant, this is an unexpected plot twist; at a chip shop, it would be grounds for an intervention.
Staff remained pleasant throughout, which made the inefficiency oddly theatrical: friendly faces ferrying half meals to the wrong table with great sincerity. It’s hard to be angry when everyone is so nice; it’s also hard to eat when your dinner is still somewhere...
Read moreNext to our hotel walking 2 min we found this place to have a quick bite and we got recommended from the waiter to try the local sea food pasta and aubergine with Tuna. Very tasty dishes both my husband and I were really satisfied with this authentic taste. I will add photo of the dishes as I dunno the name but highly recommended. 3 portate, 1 acqua, 1 bottiglia vino (valore come vino sfuso) 68€, in locale tipo "tale away". Tutto sommato senza infamia senza lode. 2 stelle x atteggiamento "lo...
