Poor service; the waiter had a "don't give an f..." attitude, couldn't recommend any specialties, forgot the house wine, then brought the wine jar and plopped it on the table without any glasses.

Disappointing food; Gricia do bosco was extremely greasy with no mushroom taste in sight, Parmigiana Scomposta had undercooked artichokes and unmelted cheese, La Spolentina was extremely sweet.

The ongoing construction and banging next door and fumes from the portable toilet didn't add to the otherwise charming street. Overall a very disappointing experience.

House wine was tasty.

EDIT: The owner is absolutely right. I meant to say the eggplant not artichoke was undercooked. My mistake. The owner is absolutely right. The restaurant is not responsible for nearby construction and toilet fumes. But knowing this perhaps you could warn clients ahead about this inconvenience. Food and bad smells never go together. I am reporting the situation as of July 2023. I've been visiting and dining in Italy for a decade. I love the way Italians master in mixing tastes and textures. I've had very few bad dishes from restaurants with high reviews. Sadly this was one of those times. The dishes tasted of nothing but grease and sugar. Not the level one expects from 4.5 Google stars. But perhaps your chef had an off day. Wish you all best...

Trevi's restaurants offer is not very rich and this place seemed to be very typical. Actually food is good but prices and cleaning could let you disappointed. It's sad reading the owner reaction to my post, cause I don't really believe he could remember me so his answer it's just a standard one. In any case: I eat what I pay, what else should I do? If you need me to be more specific I can tell that It has been served at table a plastic water bottle already opened: not sealed cause the waiter missmatched his personal one with mine. We were very curious due to all the nice reviews but didn’t even get to taste the food because the waiter quite literally scared us away. We walked up to the terrace, tried to sit down with our young daughters and the waiter came up to us as if we were trespassing on his property. Such unfriendly energy, we just left immediately. I’ve worked in service for many years, so i can imagine he would’ve liked us to ask for a table before sitting down, but with 38 degrees and two little children who needed to rest their legs, the lack of kindness was quite shocking.
