Cae de Oro — Restaurant in Treviso

My partner and I visited this restaurant earlier today and it was absolutely brilliant! Considering we don't speak a word of Italian they were extremely accomodating, the menus and are in both Italian and English which is extremely helpful. The food was absolutely incredible, I had the sirloin steak and my partner has the baked lamb. Both dishes were cooked to perfection and were extremely decent portions. When it came to desserts, the mascapone cream is one of the best desserts I have ever eaten! My partner as a pastry chef said it was heavenly! When it comes to wine and beverages, we weren't drinking the night , however from what we observed from the other tables they are extremely generous and have large selection. All in all it was a wonderful dinner with lovely atmosphere and a reasonable price. I don't write reviews for restaurants at all , I just had to write one for this amazing place. We entered on a Saturday late evening, there was no room for our party of 4. After a while, it was free, and the gentleman informed us that only drinks were possible because the kitchens were closing soon, although after consulting with the chef. We were also allowed to order food. for which we are very grateful! we took two starters, cheese with pear and cold cuts with chesse. Both were perfect. main dishes, from pasta with fish to pasta with duck. of course, everything was accompanied by wine, recommended by the owner. Delicious! the quality of the dishes is amazing!

Would have missed this hidden treasure of a restaurant had not my son highly recommended it. Small establishment with indoor and “Al fresco” seating but great in atmosphere and service. We enjoyed the red wine of the house very much, even though we were not familiar with the type…leave it to your server and you won’t be disappointed. The menu selection is limited, but still lots of wonderful choices for a full typical Italian meal of the region. Enjoy the full gamut of flavors, visual presentation and textures from the antipasto to the dolce. Will be back for sure...
