Me and my friends came here (by mistake actually, we wanted to go to other pizzeria) on 25.01.2025
Short points are: pizza - 3.5/5 Carbonara - the worst I've tried Service - terrible And you HAVE TO PAY 2.5 eur for each person just to have a sit. I'm not sure if it's ok for Italy, but it's definately not normal for other countries.
Terrible service. Waiter, instead of listening to what we asking and ordering - keep talking with the pizzaiolo. They this pizzaiolo start talking with us, instead of waiter and refused to start making pizza until we not order something to drink. (????). Your job to make a PIZZA - and NOT to make DECISION on whether people want to dring something or not. Alsom waiter asked us multiple times 'Only 2 pizzas and carbonara for 5 persons??'.
Carbonara - the most terrible one that I've ever tried. Pieces of pancetta had A LOT of FAT. And pasta wasn't cooked ENOUGH (Like 2/3 of readiness). And who serves BREAD with pasta? And that bread was not even fresh.
No wonder there were no people in that pizzeria when we came (Only 2 persons). Never again here and do not recommend for others.
I left 5 cents of tip - 1 cent for each person. That is real price for...
Read moreWhen we thought about having dinner at an Italian restaurant at about 6 PM I never expected a Metal dinner with Metallica and Guns’n’Roses sound blasting at our ears, so loud we could barely talk at the table. While I like both bands, when the music then turned to half an album of Eminem with repeating lyrics "which are not appropriate for kids" it was not so sweet for a family with small kids anymore but we had already ordered food. The waiter also made us not feel welcome here at all. Well yes talking was hard with that loud music, but you could have at least tried to be more friendly. Even though the gluten free pizza was really good, we left out gluten free desserts like tiramisu (which I personally was really looking forward to) because of the uncomfortable atmosphere at the place. And another interesting but strange thing: yes a “cuperto” or service charge is obligatory in Italy, but usually you get something for it. Bread, some olive oil, a nicely decorated table, a friendly waiter - anything… but not at this place. Prepare to pay for nothing - but a Metal/Rap Dinner blasting...
Read moreThe food is pretty good. We came here twice during our visit in Trieste. At the first time the service was friendly and everything went fine. The next time we came, I ordered the same cocktail from the menu as last time, a Crodino XL (XL means extra large). Unlike the first time, now I received a tiny cocktail with a lot of ice for 5 eur. I made a complaint to one of the workers, who (instead of giving any kind of help) started to lecture us about how he should not be asked such questions becouse "he is just the pizza guy". When I asked his colleague about why I got a tiny coctail for the same price, he told me that a Crodino is just like that (why is it called XL then?). He made the drink longer after I showed him the photo of the one they gave me two days ago. Yes, they solved the problem, but being grumpy and dismissive is not the way these kind of situations...
