Lucky me that I found this newly opened bakery just 4 minutes on foot from Piazza Unità and 2 from the sea/Rive. They have the best glutenfree pastry I had so far in Trieste (coming regularly since 2021 into town). Seems they just opened. They even offer a good cup of espresso. I had some amaretti that were delicious and fresh: soft and with a taste of almond, orange and lemon (no amaretto taste). Then this hazelnut biscuit, that smelled like from freshly grounded nuts. High quality ingredients, not this cheap flour quickly done thingy. Took a package of meringue home with me. The other things looked super, too (so they are a normal bakery, not glutenfree only), like cinnamon rolls and the lemon cake. Good luck, girls. Make the sign bigger that shows the way...
