Departures are always sad, but when you find yourself with comfort food, this makes everything ok!

We had been up for almost 24 hours and were waiting for our flight and when 5 am hit, I knew exactly what I needed: un cappuccino per favore! Make that with a brioche alla Nutella! Yes, this is my comfort food! Of course, in Italy you can pick and choose your favorite bar with your favorite cappuccino and brioche. When you're inside he airport the choices narrow down. However, for being inside the airport I did compare a few bars around and this one topped all of them. The brioche were freshly made, the moment you bite into them they sponge in your mouth. Once you get to the Nutella part ::::let's just pause and stay here for a moment:::: yes, the Nutella part. Ahhhh my favorite. But back to the bar! It was 6 o' clock in the morning, there were not many people at that time. Staff saw me, but did not bother to serve me. They did not greet me as well. The man put the sandwich right away in a bag, when i told him that i would like to eat it there, he made a face, put it on a plate and throw a bunch of napkins on the counter. I know dealing with people is not an easy job, and i do not need to be treated special at all, but the bare minimum should be provided, for example, to great the guest, to ask what he/ she likes to have and to have normal manners towards the customers, so we do not feel uncomfortably, because we dared to bother them with our orders. First the good - the Panini was flavourful and delicious. Now the bad... I have never had the misfortune to be served by such rude and sullen staff. Every.single.one.of.them. Admittedly, I can't speak much Italian but I know when the staff are making fun of my mother and I. The barista making coffee was so rude when she made the coffee, and the cups were chipped. We ate at 2130 with an advertised closing of 2200 yet we're pressurised to leave straight away. The staff were only smiling and friendly to Italians. Lucky this is our last experience of Italy this holiday, and not our first. Very disappointing as everyone else has been exemplary. Such a shame as the...
