La Chiusina - Ristorantino di pesce — Restaurant in Valeggio sul Mincio

My wife and I came across La Chiusina while checking recommended restaurants in the Peschiera on Via Michelin. It had unbelievably high ratings, which we join. The restaurant is nestled in the heart of the medieval town of Borghetto, a former miller's village. It's definitely worth planning a walk before your meal. The restaurant offers an a'la carte two- or three-course set menu, as well as tasting menus in both vegetarian and meat versions. The menu is very well thought out and seasonal, as well as local. The dishes surprised us with a wonderful composition of flavors. Plus the excellent service, which helped my wife select local wine by the glass to go with the dishes. It's worth mentioning that the restaurant is located in a medieval building, so part of the floors were glazed and illuminated to show the old walls. The whole concept of La Chiusina is cohesive and refined, making the meal a true experience....

Exceptional fine dining with attentive service. There are three set menus, and some a la carte. We were recommended the Correneti menu as it had more local dishes. I've attached the menu, each corse was perfect and delicious. Our wine selection was excellent too with the owner making a personal recommendation. Appetisers were stuffed courgette flowers and a small fig pastry. Followed by home marinated local trout. Then tortellini with seafood, probably the best we've tasted. Primi was grilled white fish and desert we had a tirimisu and fruit tart...

Ho recentemente avuto l’immenso piacere di cenare presso questo locale e mi trovo quindi a sentirmi in dovere di comunicare quanto l’esperienza sia stata positiva. Partendo dall’atmosfera, Borghetto in se è una garanzia per calma e quiete, ma la location di questo locale è dit un altro livello, seduti di fianco al fiume, con il rumore dell’acqua che accompagna le nostre conversazioni senza mai diventare fastidioso, eravamo immersi in un locale curato fino al minimo dettaglio, dove ho potuto apprezzare le sia la parete in Cortem con inserite in apposite mensole dello stesso materiale, sculture bianche a fare da contrasto. Il dettaglio che mi è piaciuto di più, tuttavia, sono le pavimentazioni in vetrata delle sale interne, dove è possibile apprezzare le fondamenta ed un pozzo di antica costruzione. Chi cura così bene i locali non può deludere in cucina, ho potuto consumare Il miglior antipasto mai assaggiato (del “semplice” pane da inzuppare in un mix di olio ed erbe, tanto delizioso quanto semplice) e la seconda migliore pasta, perfetta sia per ingredienti che per preparazione ed impiattamento. Tutto il menu che ho potuto valutare (tramite golosi assaggi alle porzioni dei miei commensali) è semplicemente di prima qualità. Una menzione importante, l’attenzione dei camerieri ai dettagli, alle necessità, la loro cortesia e preparazione non si trova ovunque e ritengo vada assolutamente apprezzata, siamo stati “serviti” da veri esperti che amano il loro lavoro e posso semplicemente dire di averlo...
