Modern design,the staff respects the need of the client and there is a high quality of alcohol from which you can feel the natural aromas of the place from where they come. The appetizer is full of cheese and sliced “affettati e salumi“ of the near place, from where the breeders make them and there is a vast choice of beer. I haven't had dinner at spitz but if it mantains the same level of products and services that I experienced, in my opinion, it will be the best in varese. Il locale è molto carino e accogliente, anche se leggermente decentrato rispetto al cuore di Varese. Nonostante fosse l'8 settembre, con un clima uggioso e fresco, all'interno della sala più grande faceva un po’ caldo e non c'era traccia neppure di aria condizionata leggera. I prezzi sono in linea con quanto proposto dal menu.

Un aspetto negativo che ha compromesso l’esperienza è stato il servizio. Nonostante il locale fosse piuttosto frequentato, erano presenti solo due camerieri per gestire tutti i tavoli. La cameriera, pur cordiale, sembrava non avere una conoscenza approfondita del menu, non riuscendo a spiegare correttamente le differenze tra il tagliere “large” e quello “spitz”. Ci era stato assicurato che il tagliere "large" avrebbe incluso 15 gnocchi fritti circa , ma ne sono arrivati soltanto 8 a ciotola. Il secondo cameriere ha risposto con precisione, ma l'approccio è stato piuttosto brusco. Può capitare a tutti di rompere un bicchiere, ma il resto del servizio è stato inaccettabile.

Abbiamo anche dovuto attendere circa un'ora prima di riuscire a ordinare, anche se una volta fatto, il tempo di attesa per i piatti è stato accettabile. La qualità dello gnocco fritto è nella media, così come quella dei salumi; i formaggi, invece, risultano piuttosto ordinari, probabilmente di fascia economica. L’aggiunta di mostarda o miele, con stuzzicadenti annessi, avrebbe potuto valorizzare meglio i formaggi, rendendo il tagliere più apprezzabile. La selezione dei vini, invece, è buona e variegata.

In aggiunta, assieme a gnocco fritto, salumi e formaggi, ci saremmo aspettati l’elementare fornitura di piatti, posate e tovaglioli, che purtroppo mancavano. Questi dettagli, secondo me, sono le basi della ristorazione. Ci lavoro da soli 6 anni ma mi sembrava scontata come cosa no? Anche al bar con il drink mi danno il tovagliolino, perché non darlo pure con pietanze unte?

Salvo il barista perché i drink erano davvero buoni.

Detto ciò, il prezzo pagato non ha comunque rispecchiato la qualità...

Spitz is a wonderfull place to spend your hot summer evening. There is a huge Taras where you can enjoy the delicious food and or aperitif together with the drink of your choice. For those days the weather is less beautiful as during my visit, the inside is giving the same great atmosphere as the taras. Additionally it gives you a view on the kitchen.

I can recommend you one of the diferent wines out of wide selection of wines.

The crew working here is polite helping you to find the best plate and drink without any pressure.

All together it's a great place to spent an evening with loved one(s)...
