In Riva bistrò — Restaurant in Venice

The Location is pretty nice and the view of Burano also very beautiful. Sadly everything nice to say, but unfortunately the service was a very bad experience. After visiting this beautiful romantic town we thought to finish our trip with a relaxing area to remember all the good impressions. We ordered 3 beer, 1 white wine. The beer was warm like tea and the white tasted like vinegar. Maybe the stuff had a really bad day or the bottle of wine was already expired. But anyhow we also was missing one chair at the table and even though the whole local was empty and we asked nicely for one more chair the Stuff said it’s not possible and we have to leave immediately because the beer barrel was empty. I still don’t understand what the should mean. After all and we payed already the stuff wanted to get some money from us for using the toilet. Over all other place have even better view and you not get treated like you are not welcome in that beautiful town....

The service was very good and the woman serving us was very nice. The food was okay, though the croquette was very soggy in the middle.

The main problem was we had come in to get fish & chips, and were served calamari rings with chips. I believe this may be the Venetian take on Fish and Chips, which is fine. I just had wished the person we ordered the food from instead of saying “yes we have fish and chips” had explained first that the “fish” was actually squid.

I believe this was just a language miscommunication, but I think it would be good if someone asks for “fish and chips” if the servers could explain that the “fish” is actually squid. It would be helpful for American and British...

Local muy bonito, camareros mejor no comentar, hora y cuarto esperando una botella de agua, una lasaña y unos spaguetis con almejas sin gluten! Y ninguno se da cuenta que se ha pedido la comanda…. Ni el agua nos trajeron ninguno, y tampoco tienen tantas mesas, casi hay más camareros que mesas y estábamos sentados en el paso junto a la puerta de entrada que se nos veía cada vez que abrían la puerta para atender la terraza!!! Y luego nos dicen después de esperar que no pueden hacer nada. El agua y la lasaña que sería meterla un calentón en horno ya que es un producto que se hace antes del servicio y si no es comprada ya…. Ya que no la he probado!😂😂😂… quizá lo de sin gluten entiendo la tardanza ya que se deben de cocer en el momento etc. pero vamos que camareros…. Desde luego mejor que cierren porque vaya vergüenza! Irse clientes sin darles el servicio que hacen referencia como bistro-restaurante, es lo peor que puede pasar en un restaurante que les pase eso, ya que demuestran el desastre que es su trabajo. Les viene grande! Una hora y cuarto de espera y no dar solución…. Vamos meto yo la lasaña al horno a 250 grados y el agua la llevo volando, pido disculpas y le doy opciones que ya tengo preparadas, como el pollo asado que es poner en plato y les doy de comer como sea, no es perder la comanda es la respuesta nula de querer dar solución a un error de plantilla ineficiente. Espero que se vea cerrado ya que es una autentica vergüenza lo vivido en este lugar

Añado hoy día 6 de enero después de ver tu respuesta, no me digas algo para dejarme mal a mí… eso no fue lo que ocurrió o te has confundido de clientes … mi comanda nunca llegó a cocina y estuve una hora Esperando, Cuando reclame al camarero me dijo que la comanda iba a tardar desde el momento que la he vuelto a reclamar porque es cuando la vas a cocinar entiendo que es español y a lo mejor no lo entiendes.
