Our experience here was extremely poor. We were a big group of 15 and when the waiter was taking our order, he was extremely short with us, rushing us and not tolerating any questions about the menu. His mannerism of answering questions was rude and he raised his voice. We ordered a lot of food (obv, a group of 15) and towards the end, he said to hurry up because we're delaying him from all other customers!!!! At this point in a restaurant, I personally would have got up and left but I didn't because we had children and seniors who were hungry, hot, and tired. We asked for jugs of water instead of mineral bottles, he said they don't have. On my way to the bathroom, I see other tables with jugs of water. I asked again, and he brought it this time (after already having brought the mineral water though so it was to be paid for). The food came at random times, not all together. Half the table was done eating by the time the other half even came. Aside from the terrible service, all the food was subpar, nothing special. Prices were not cheap and portions were not generous (aside from the pizza). The ambiance of the place was like grandma's house, the grandma who hoards everything and has clutter everywhere. I'm not one to give out 1/5 easily. Overall, it was a terrible restaurant...
Read moreWe had the pleasure to visit this very sympathic restaurant last sunday (17/08/2025) during our one day trip across Venice island, Murano and finally Burano island. The very sympathic team invited us very friendly to take a table directly at the canal. The pizza of my wife and myself was tasty as all pizzas in the area. Nothing special but like all pizzas in this area very good quality.
BUT: My son (9years old and his first italy vacation) enjoyed Pasta con Pesto Genovese and is still talking and raves about this very good sauce! I have to admit this pesto was one of the best I ever had (and I had many pesto in my life). The reason of this fantastic pesto seems to be the also very good extra vergine olive oil. I tried to buy this brand in the area but I haven't found a shop selling it. So if the owner of the restaurant is reading this and remembers us he maybe can give us a hint where to buy this fantastic oil.
Whenever we return to Burano we will for sure visit this restaurant again and suggest every visitor to stop there and enjoy the...
Read moreA good place to have a well-cooked meal and a glass of wine or a coffee. The restaurant is not a large one, only 5 or 6 tables in an intimate, nicely decorated space, but has a second room with a few tables on the first floor. The owner was present and served us himself, being kind and welcoming. A little unpleasant was the fact that some clients having a drink at the bar were talking with him too loudly. We had two different sea food plates, both delicious. The chef delivered our meals very fast, but there were no other orders at that time! Anyway, we got some free crackers while we waited. The restaurant has a cover charge of 2.5 Euros per person, which is ok if you eat here (but 3 young girls having a single tea of three euros each, were not so happy, though). So you should ask first. A good place, at the moment...
