La Patatina San Rocco — Restaurant in Venice

Amazing experience at La Patatina. We had lunch at this place on our first day in venice and it was so delicious. We decided to go back there for our last meal because we liked it very much. The waiter recognised us and was very happy to see us again. The staff was very welcoming and nice. We ordered octopus salad for appetisers, they gave us Bruschetta on the house. It was all so delicious. For the main meal, I got the grilled Orata. It was very tasty and full of flavor. My husband got the grilled calamari, it was also very well done. They also gave us fried potatoes on the house and to be honest, it was the best potatoes I ever had. I would say this was the best restaurant we ate at while we stayed in Venice especially taking into consideration the prices and the quality of food. I totally recommend. We had a wonderful dinner in Venice with friends, and this restaurant made the evening truly special. We started with three delicious antipasti : the burrata with semi-dried tomatoes, the eggplant parmigiana, and a mixed plate of Venetian seafood. For the main, we had the lobster tagliatelle, which was simply outstanding and perfectly cooked pasta with rich and delicate flavours.

A big thank you to our waiter, Matilde, who made the experience unforgettable. She was welcoming, attentive, and spot on with her local wine suggestions. Her insights about Venetian cuisine and culture added so much value to the evening, and she made the whole dinner both fun...

We dined here as a couple. The place is quite small, but somehow they managed to fit so many tables. People kept flowing and the place just got more busier with people.

The food was ok, the quantity isn't a lot, but the prices were reasonable for Venice (comparably to other restaurants on the same street). We were happy to get a hot meal and move on.

The service was good and the servers were respectful towards all the guests!

I rated it 4 stars out of 5, because I think the owners can consider leaving some distance between the tables. Too many people in one place isn't ideal if someone is infected by COVID or any...
