Osteria Giardinetto — Restaurant in Venice

Good quality food - yes, delicious - nothing, not even bread... minus 1 point. Unprofessional service in dinner time, top season? Owners, check is 50usd per person its high season -are you seriously cannot afford peofessionsl waiter with at least decade of experience? No points deduction for that, I should noticed that osteria belongs to same name hotel and location in front of big public transport hub , my mistake to choose. Simply NO advanced wines. 4.5e per glass and malvasia are TOP of wine list? No any rose AT ALL? I do not ask for Aszu Essence in Italy, but, what the freak to drink in case if Spritz Aperol is not limit of your budget? Ever heard about midrange Frescobaldi wines from Toscana? Or just normal Chianti? Even acceptable regionale house wines are exists in Veneto (but I've met that only in small wine shops). Especially crazy was suggestion to pair friuli with fish, use that friuli with ice on sunny say or for mix sweet coctails but its not a pair for tuna tartar its crazy! Here is minus 1 point, because, it really feels like random supermarket wines just at 4x prices. Ambience... no great view no classic mysic not even LED candles? Didnt check how is their toilet but don't think there are fresh orchids there. Last but not least. Milk pudding is NOT a panna cotta!!! Zero tolerance for such "desserts" when you are in Italy! I recently had the pleasure of dining at Osteria Giardinetto in Venice, Italy at the Hotel Giardinetto and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience. The servers at this restaurant are simply the best. The Brazilian waitress made the best spritz I have ever tasted and Gaia and the night crew were outstanding. They were attentive, friendly and made us feel right at home.

One of the young servers recommended a Venetian steak dish and it was absolutely fabulous. The meat was cooked to perfection and the flavors were out of this world. I also stopped by a few times for the cacio Pepe and it was just as delicious as the first time.

What really stood out to me about Osteria Giardinetto was the people. I had the chance to meet the owners and they were great people. They were warm, welcoming and made us feel like we were part of their family. It was a truly authentic Italian experience.

Overall, I highly recommend Osteria Giardinetto to anyone visiting Venice. The food is amazing, the servers are the best and the atmosphere is unbeatable. It's a must-visit...

Found this restaurant on google maps and saw the 4.6 rating and thought we would enjoy a meal here. Asked for a table for two outside we said we would have drinks and then dinner. The waiter told us the outside tables were all full despite only being about a quarter of them with people. They must have been reserved for others, who knows. He then sat us in the very corner of the restaurant as far away from outside as you can get. We sat there for maybe 25 long minutes before the waiter came to acknowledge us again. We asked for wine and cocktails as well as bruschetta and scallops. We were then told the bruschetta machine was broken so we couldn’t have that, he said we could have some bread on the table and a caprese as it was pretty much the same thing. We said that we would not worry about eating as by now we were pretty tired of being messed around so when we said we would only have a drink as they didn’t have the menu item we wanted we were asked to move tables, so we left.
