Nice location, ok food, good selection of wines especially red . I'd give a higher score but I feel a bit disappointed by the service. One of the waiters would, for instance, address anybody with "love" / "beautiful woman" or a variation of those. My partner wasn't, of course, exempted by that.
We have also seen him openly berating one of the female staff by saying that she needed to be quicker and not stand there doing nothing; there was nothing jovial about his tone. She was more professional than he, attentive to customers and reactive.
Again, we have witnessed him scoffing at a potential client inquiring for a table and rudely asked a colleague to sit them while rolling his eyes. This happened while he was serving us food.
Lastly, when dinner was coming to an end, the same waiter came to our table to ask if we wanted any shots; thinking that it was the classic shot "on the house" that many places offer, we told him our choice. Only after that he said that he would "make us an Italian price", which would out to be 12 euros for each shot. 24 euros in total. That's a far cry from the promised favourable price we were offered. We felt stiffed.
Props to the young, asian lady who attended us; she was kind and attentive. A true gem. Can't say the same about the guy I wrote about above; if he was chocolate, he would lick himself. And still be...
ย ย ย Read moreThe food was good but I was laughed in my face by the waiter for ordering a dish gluten free despite them offering these selections and then watched the weirdest episode of a restaurant show taking place live infront of me.
I went to this place because it said it had gluten free options. We went in and there was a super nice girl who let me know what I could order so I had high hopes. But then the server came over it all went terribly wrong. He was so abrasive and pushy, we weren't quite ready to order but he forced us to put an order in and then wouldn't let us finish our order before going onto the next person. Then when I asked for a pasta gluten free he laughed at me and then went 'okay fine'. My friend was taken aback at his response to my request and questioned if it would actually be gluten free he got so defensive with her and asked why she was questioning him. The whole experience was then just like watching some kind of weird restaurant TV show. I feel like they were short staffed which i get but the waiter was throwing a fit the entire time we were there, slamming doors and plates and yelling. It was a weird experience. The food was good though which shocked me but I would never recommend this place to someone especially if you have a...
ย ย ย Read moreWent on a Friday night and had reservations. They sat us in the middle of a walkway which was problematic at first but we were able to shift the table ourselves so we didn't have servers & customers constantly asking me to move. Wish they chose a better spot since they know the flow of their place. After our shift it was a great experience. We had the homemade short pasta scallops in a pistachio pesto sauce, steak with a parmigian sauce, salad and the roasted potatoes. The steak had a bit of a tendon going through it which made a few pieces chewy, but other than that it was delicious. Properly seasoned and a good portion. The star for me was the balsamic vinegar for the salad, it was flavorful and full bodied. Made for a great dip with the table bread. After our meal we got a pair of cookies and 2 shots of homemade Limoncello complementary witu the check. Both were very good! Overall great dining experience, I would just reccomend sitting outside and not inside where the tables could be cramped.
Also major shout out to the kitchen staff. They were CRANKING dish after dish and also had their dish staff in the same 10x12 room. Very impressive!!! No one was yelling and it seemed like an incredibly well oiled...
