DO NOT VISIT THIS PLACE!!!
I visited this place and ordered two mains and two drinks and then decided to smoke some Shisha as it was on display. When it came time to pay the owner decided to rob me! This is how he totaled the Bill 14€ X 2 = 28 (which I supposed was the mains) 1.5€ X 2 = 3 ( which I supposed was the two soft drink cans) 5€ and then 25€ which he claimed was both for the Shisha! I immediately noticed that he was uneasy when I asked him the makeup of the bill to which he started talking in some other language. I asked him to show me the items on the menu to which he justified the bill by saying 3€ for a can of Sprite and 5€ for a can of ice tea. And that Shisha is not on the menu!!!!!! When I pointed out the items on the menu stating that drinks are €1.50 each and the mains 14€ each and that I saw him add the bill and 5€ on top which I suppose was the shisha what was the 25€ for?!?!?! he started talking gibberish again which I couldn't understand. The Shisha was rubbish it died after 1 coal. Food was okay but the service was horrendous. And he tried to commit a theft!
He refused to show me the menu for the Shisha or justify the price. I insisted that he called the police if he's going to rob me and he then changed his tone and said that just pay me what he original amount he made the bill up for and removed the 25€
And he was ignoring me when I asked him for the wifi password earlier on even though the reviews below state that the place has free wifi
The only reason I went there was because this place had good reviews. Maybe there is one standard for locals and another...
Read moreWe wanted a break from heavy and rich Italian cuisine and opted for Fairouz during our trip to Venice/stay in Mestre. The restaurant is close to a Halal shop and the waitress confirmed it to be Halal. We ordered lamb skews and the fish-rice, and a Tabuleh as a starter. The quality of the food was fine, but the Lamb skew had french fries as a side, which is not appropriate in my opinion. The skews were also rather small. But the taste was good. Still, consider ordering more portions if visiting really hungry, a bit expensive in these terms. Other than that, it is a nice Restaurant with a very nice service...
Read moreAs a Lebanese trying this "Lebanese" place for the first time here are my comments: expecting to find at least one Lebanese person among the staff, but no. tabboule: more bourgol than necessary. It feels like a stuffing more than a salad. 2/5 hummus: good kafta arayes: good falafel: expecting to be served with tarator sauce, and veggies but no. Taste is good. batata kezbara: mammamia, aside from having told the staff that they arrived partly raw, they took them and char-grilled them black. Unacceptable -1.
Overall, good to find a Lebanese restaurant in Mestre, but don't get...
