Avoid this hotel! We booked 2 nights at this hotel. We got a room which smelled awful and we couldn’t sleep even a minute the whole entire night. Well they changed our room today (the second day). The biggest issue is the responsibility of the employees. The hotel promises a parking space, today we left the hotel with the car and an employee said the space is reserved. We just came back to the hotel and the parking is full. Another employee who sits in the reception, very rudely said that it’s not possible to reserve, go park anywhere else and pay! He doesn’t even wants to listen when we try to talk to him. His name is GEORGIO. He is sitting there in the reception and doesn’t have time to work! Very disrespectful and super angry! He kept repeating “I don’t have time to discuss and no time for you”! Is that serious??? We are a guest at this hotel and have rights to get response and of course the service we expect. We tried to talk to him respectfully. But he didn’t even want to listen and he screamed at us in the street. This was awful 2000 times. This kind of attitude is not respectable at all. Another issue, they take the key every day you leave the hotel and in the night when you come back they don’t even ask who you are! They just give you the key. (A new person who has never met us before) How is that for security!! Anyway we sleep tonight because we don’t have any other option now and will leave very...
Read moreProbably the very worst hotel I’ve stayed in for over 30 years. Luckily only for one night at the end of an otherwise excellent bike tour. Whilst I expect there are better rooms than we had, we were not the only person in our group to have a similar experience and imo no hotel with 3 stars should offer ANY guests a room like we had. It was far too small for two people, the bathroom was maybe 4x4feet in diameter and no shower tray, just a hole in a corner of the floor with a thin plastic curtain around it. The floor was soon soaking in both bathroom and bedroom. Worst of all the top floor room was next to the lift mechanism and (I suspect) under an air conditioning unit on the roof. There was a continual rumbling from the aircon and various loud noises from the lift all night. Plus noise from the corridor, zero sound insulation - it’s a frantically busy hotel always full of large tour groups. The hotel decor is bizarre, the reception like walking into Liberace’s migraine and the bedrooms similar. Every surface is covered in gilt and chintz and there are hideous bedspreads on every bed. I’d accept all that as quirky and individual but given everything else the sensory assault was the last straw for us. The only positives were the central location in Mestre and the very nice staff, who I felt sorry for. My strong advice is...
Read moreWe are currently staying here as a family of 4, our room has one double bed and 2 ample sized single beds. |After reading the reviews, I was a little worried about staying here. |I needn’t have done - our room was cosy and an ample size for 4 of us. The room was clean and the maid came in every day to change towels. The staff and the maids were all so lovely and friendly and could not help us enough.|I have seen on reviews that the shower isn’t big enough etc, we found it to be an excellent shower with plenty of space and power and no leaking at all as in other reviews.|There is also a safe provided free of charge in your room.|The beds are very comfortable and the temperature of the room could be easily controlled with the windows or heating switch.|Breakfast - this was great with plenty of choice for a continental serving; croissants, toast, boiled eggs, yoghurt, cereal, meats and cheeses and a good choice of drinks, all easy to access.|Yes, the walls are a little thin so you can hear others but this is something I expect when in an older hotel that has character.|The reason for my 4/5 score is that I personally did not care for the area that the hotel is located in. But as for the staff and vendors of this hotel I feel that they cannot do enough, they are incredibly helpful and as a family we really have enjoyed...
