My partner and I first had another restaurant selected on Maps, it was closed; fortunally for us! A bit hidden from the hussle and buzzle of the Lido, in a quaint neighborhood were an Italian nonna waves to you and says "Buona sera" from her second story appartment to the forgein vistors is Rosa's Bruch & Dinner. The owner, Rosa, is a strong willed lady with an exceptional taste and a great team that helps her out on this recently opened restaurant. As a Dutch person we have the habbit of eating a bit early and at 18:00 Rosa invited us on her terrace to choose from a delicious menu that chances every day with terrific fresh ingredients. Rosa is incredibly knowledgeable and helpfull about making the right choice and chosing the right wine, which is important; especially in Italy! We started which delicious home made bread while chosing the main courde, I choose the "Gnocchi with Smoked Salmon and zuchini". Normally I am not a big fan of dishes with fish, but Rosa created this amazing dish which balanced out these tastes so immaculate that it didn't had this "Fishy taste". It felt as if there was a Vivaldi concerto on my tongue, with all these different tastes combining into a beautiful composition. The desert was a delicious home baked apricot and peach pie; a recipe from the chef himself; delicious! But what suprised me thec most is the avordabilty of the place. The Lido is filled to the brim with awful expensive and extremely mediocre food that makes this Dutchman's blood boil. This restaurant is almost stealing from themself with how amazing the food is. I will definitely return soon to this hidden...

I ate at Rosa’s after attending a cooking class led by Rosa herself—and what an incredible experience it was from start to finish. Tucked away in the heart of Venice, Rosa’s offers more than just a delicious meal—it’s a warm, personal, and genuinely Italian experience that I’ll never forget.
After spending a few hours learning from Rosa in her hands-on class, we sat down to enjoy a full meal prepared with love. The food was absolutely delicious. Rosa’s special dish—her own secret recipe—was unlike anything I’ve ever tasted. Rich, perfectly balanced, and full of flavor, it was easily the highlight of the evening. Even though she won’t tell you exactly how it’s made, you can tell it’s crafted with passion and years of tradition behind it.
The rest of the meal was just as impressive. The pasta was fresh and flavorful, the dessert was the perfect sweet finish, and the wine… wow. The wine was smooth, full-bodied, and paired beautifully with every course. You could tell it was selected with care.
What made the experience truly special, though, was Rosa and her family. They were incredibly warm, gracious, and welcoming. It felt less like dining at a restaurant and more like being invited into someone’s home. The atmosphere was lively and fun, full of laughter and good conversation.
I highly recommend Rosa’s—not just for the food (which is amazing), but for the whole experience. Between the cooking class, the wonderful meal, and the heartwarming hospitality, it’s one of those hidden gems in Venice that you’ll be talking about long...
Read moreWe’re Berliners – and we know a good brunch when we see one. But Rosa’s on the Lido truly took us by surprise. Discovered it by chance, just around the corner from our guesthouse – and what a gem. Freshly opened, yet already a place that feels like it’s always been there. We had an exquisite breakfast: homemade breads, vibrant, ultra-fresh ingredients, and everything of the highest quality. Not the cheapest – but absolutely worth it.
What really won us over, though, is the overall atmosphere: every detail, from the food to the furniture, from the colors to the plates, is in perfect harmony. Nothing flashy – just quiet, tasteful beauty. And Rosa herself adds that rare magic touch that makes you feel instantly at home.
Oh, and yes – it’s not just for brunch. Rosa’s is open in the evenings too, which means even more reasons to come back.
To be honest, we almost didn’t want to write this review – this place feels like the kind of secret you’d rather keep to yourself. But Rosa’s deserves all the success in the world. So go. Just promise you’ll leave us a table for...
