Unfortunately, we we served by a very unfriendly person. So, 1 star goes to a black-bearded snobbish guy who spoiled our experience in Venezia. What’s the point to work in service if your job should be avoiding people.

For the travellers who seek good food and can abstract themselves from arrogance and snobbism, and to respect the chef, I have to admit the food is above average (however, a bit overpriced).

There was also a very kind person serving us coffee in the end, to whom I would like to say thank you (without beard). I should have asked names.

Possibly, they just dislike foreigners, as the waiter was cordial with Italian speakers and boot-licking with French.

It’s not in my habit to leave bad reviews, especially since the food was good but I don’t want to support such attitude.

Hopefully, this review will...

After 5 days in Venice being constantly disappointed, this place was the antidote for our trip. The restaurant is located in a quiet off the beaten track Square and they set up a table outside, next to the wall of the church, for us at lunch because the sun was shining even though they were not prepared for outdoor dining. Very kind.

The food was delicately prepared, fresh and flavorful. Truly one of those experiences we will be talking about for years to come and recommending to everyone that comes to Venice to get away from the other nonsense that's so easy to experience here.

They make their own small batch wine in Sardinia along with their olive oil and homemade bread. Truly, exquisite a genuine culinary triumph and reasonably priced for how good the food and overall...

The food was not that amazing, especially for the price. Our group had mixed anti pasti plates to start - for 26€ per plate, the 4 offerings were a little small and in no way amazing. The bean and pasta soup was hearty, but no more. I had the catch of the day with garden vegetables (a side of swiss chard for 10€!) which was ok, but not spectacular either - fish slightly over for my taste. No olive oil served to moisten it, but then I didn't ask for any either. Two of the group had fish risotto which was described as bland. Mixed fried fish looked ok, but I didn't try. The staff were great - the setting was pleasant and quiet, away from the maddening crowds...

Whenever we travel to Venice we’ll stop at least once at this exquisite little trattoria in that quiet and beautiful campo. A true gem and absolutely not to miss for anyone who values ruthlessly fresh and authentic eating and slowfood kitchen. It’s tempting to keep this secret to myself but in this case I will share it because I fully trust the adamant integrity of the hosts to keep their offerings clean from touristy kitsch or any forms of cost optimisation. Ask for Marco’s wine tip and try the pickled veggies from their own garden. Never mind if you cannot make head or tail of some of the specialties on the menu. They can. Try them all.

An authentic, family-run restaurant in Venice can be hard to find, and this is absolutely the real deal. We go to Venice a lot- this week was about the 7th time we've visited. Every time, we eat at Trattoria Anzolo Raffaele because it's amazing. It's off the beaten track in Dorsoduro, run by a husband and wife, and the food is absolutely wonderful. Fresh authentic ingredients, prepared with skill and heart. The seafood is amazing, but we also love their steak with rosemary. We keep coming back for more! Just to manage expectations: they don't do pizza or kids' menus. But they do amazing gluten-free pasta if anyone has allergies!
