Inlaguna — Hotel in Venice

Let me start by saying that I chose this place because I read so many good reviews on TripAdvisor which turned out to be for a totally different place with a similar name. Be warned that InLaguna is a very common name in Venice so check the address if reading reviews (this one is Dorsoduro 2314). This place is located near the university with quite a bit of noise. Nice to be away from the more touristy area however it’s located directly above a restaurant and very noise bar so you end up with drunk people screaming all night. Was told I was getting a queen bed and we got two very uncomfortable singles pushed together instead. The shower stall is tiny (a little bigger than 2 feet by 2 feet) and full of mood so trying to shower is an adventure. The air conditioning looks like it’s from the 80’s and is very noisy at night but better than the screaming outside. Location wasn’t bad (outside of the loud restaurant and bars below) in terms of a short walk to the centre of the city. The wifi was basically unusable because it was so slow - to be exact the speed was 0.38 Mbps as I actually measured it. Barely fast enough to do just email. The owner seemed very nice and the housekeeper was very friendly and helpful. Since the location doesn’t have a lobby we ended up having to pay extra somewhere else to leave our bags securely (they did offer for us to just leave them in the hallway which didn’t seem like a viable option). Overall, not worth the price in my opinion - better Venice...

Nice area, lovely and quiet with lots of cafes and restaurants around. Out of the tourist area with a nice atmosphere. Room itself was okay, clean bed and good air conditioning and hair dryer. “Kitchen” in the cupboard wasn’t too clean and entrance to flat was unclear. Bathroom was nice and spacious. Apartment was up three sets of narrow stairs so not ideal for heavy luggage and not suitable for disabled people. Lock was a bit tricky but seems like others had same issue from reviews. Gianluca was nice and easy to reach on WhatsApp and we were able to check in an hour early. Overall good for travellers and...

A nice large room with plenty of space, good size toilet & separate shower, very comfy large bed - I found nice supermarket nearby at discount prices (Prix) & there are various cafe's near apartment entrance door (Next to Osteria Bakan) - cleaner calls every day...
