It’s tucked just around the corner from where we usually stay in Venice, and every trip, we make a point of coming back here. The atmosphere is relaxed and unpretentious, with that classic Venetian warmth that makes you feel instantly welcome.

I’ve ordered the seafood risotto every single time, and it never disappoints. It’s honestly the best seafood risotto I’ve ever had. The rice is perfectly cooked, creamy without being heavy, and the seafood is fresh, generous, and prepared exactly right. Every bite has something different, from tender calamari to perfectly cooked shrimp, all blended into one incredibly flavorful dish. It’s the kind of meal that lingers in your memory long after the trip is over.

The service has always been outstanding. The staff are kind, attentive, and clearly proud of what they do. Even when the restaurant is busy, they manage to make you feel like they have all the time in the world for your table. The prices are very fair for the quality, and the overall experience is consistently wonderful.

We had the greatest pleasure of eating at Trattoria da Denis today and we can truthfully tell it was the best dining experience during our 3 week trip to Italy. The food was absolutely spectacular. With a full variety of flavors the food in an instance awakened our tastebuds and would delight them for the next hours. Perfectly grilled squid, on point spicy pasta with an absolutely delicious prawn and the best pesto we have ever tried were our choices we will remember for long. Desserts served as a symbol of being perfect from the beginning to the very end. Service was incredible and absolutely outstanding. The waitress, who was serving us, was charming, funny, cute, heart-warming and, foremost, professional. Definitely the best and kindest service we have ever encountered. Just thinking of what we had eaten and how welcomed we were would put smiles on our faces later during the day. We will definitely recommend the restaurant to each end every of our friends...

Thus the culinary delights began: I love a place that has warm bread with olive oil at the start! We waited for it, and it was worth the wait. I started with the polenta with fish appetizer. All the fish was fresh, buttery like it had just been caught. Mixed grilled seafood was a hit! Well seasoned, delicious. They served us freshly baked bread which was warm and delicious.
