Oh dear, I've yet to get a good kebab in Venice. Ok, kebab is not the most Italian food you can think of. But no matter, it should still be done right...
Food is normally treated with passion and flair in Italy but in Venice the humble kebab is not.
Ordering a kebab each, my friend and I were surprised to experience how wrong it could be... Firstly the meat was weighed. There certainly wasn't much meat content... But to be fair, we did get two kebabs with an equally tiny amount of meat content each so there is consistently in the servings. Secondly there was no sauce whatsoever which was disappointing. Thirdly, my friend did not have a good experience in relation to what happened after he had eaten his kebab. He was sick in the toilet sense of being sick. I wasn't, but then again I could eat a dirty sock dragged through a Venetian canal at low tide and my digestive system wouldn't complain to me. Given we didn't eat anything else after the kebabs the reader of this review can draw their own conclusions...
In short what we purchased was not good. The meat content was very small and overall the kebab was without flavour.
