I recently had the pleasure of dining at Ristorante alla Conchiglia, and it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. Nestled in a charming location, the restaurant offers a warm, welcoming atmosphere with a touch of coastal elegance.

The staff were incredibly attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. They made us feel at home right away and were happy to offer recommendations, which turned out to be excellent choices.

The food was simply outstanding. Every dish was beautifully presented and full of fresh, authentic flavors. The Lasagna in particular, was a highlight – perfectly cooked and bursting with taste. I highly recommend trying the house specialties, especially the pasta with fresh clams and the grilled seafood platter.

The wine list was also impressive, featuring a great selection of local and Italian wines to complement the dishes.

The restaurant is located in a very nice place with a beautiful view over the channel. However, the food is unremarkable and, worst of all, the staff behaved awfully. I don't usually find much fault at staff's behaviours but, in this particular situation, it was very hard not to. First of all, when my friends and I (we were four at the table) asked for pizza without cheese - something you find plenty in Italy - they laughed to each other behind our backs. Then, during our meal, they always tried to rush us. Everytime one of us would seem to have finished their meal, they would take away their plate without even asking. When the four of us had finished, they wasted no time to make us pay (it was much overpriced as well). We even heard them talking to each other about how we had already eaten but still had not payed. Bear in mind it wasn't even as late as 8 p.m., the first weekend of May, most tables by the channel were still empty and we didn't really stay for longer than 45 minutes (we didn't plan to stay for very long to begin with). It was a bad experience and I would not recommend this...
