And another Example that Google reviews don't always reflect the reality. 3,8 Stars. Good thing we didn't let ourselves deter from going there anyway. First of all, my 5 Stars rating is to be seen as a bang-for-the-buck rating. Yes, I've eaten better Pizza before. I've also had Better wine. But I also hat far worse of both. Here some in-depth points:

I had the MAXI Pizza Arizona. I love this combination (Salami, capers and anchovis) and if a Restaurant does not provide it, I usually combine it myself. And man believe me, it was MAXI! The images (Foto is my Pizza) dont do it justice. Woman on the table beside us ordered it and barely made a dent. Not me, I ate it. I ate it ALL. And it was really good. Granted, the dough might have been a bit undersalted on it's own, but with the Salami and toppings there was more than enough to balance it. So much for the under-seasoned reviews here, cannot confirm.

We had half a Liter of sparkling wine which was refreshing. Then we had another mezzo litro which was slightly intoxicating. For 7 Euros each, mind you. So much for the price Review.

My daughter had Spaghetti carbonara which I tasted and was also very good. And also a lot. We closed with a Tiramisu, which was not the burner I must damit. Thats something I can create better myself, but I am a bit of a fanatic in that regard.

Finally the Service: we came there quite early and there were no Problems whatsoever. But I can see that it might be if it gets crowded. We had none. Also, there was some might Action where half of the City gathered in Pirate costumes in front of us. See the photo.

Finally the price. We payed 77 Euros for 4 ppl, which made me and my wife drunk, made me stuffed (it's the morning next day and I will not eat today until the evening), we had a nice view and an extra Event. So here,...

Erreichbarkeit 💫💫💫💫 Von der Location extrem gut gelegenes und gut erreichbares Restaurant mit Blick auf den Hafen von Ventimiglia. Geht man die Via San Garibaldi komplett durch nach oben zur Hafenseite, gelangt man durch das Stadttor direkt auf den Platz wo sich die Statue des Korsaren Nero in Hafenrichtung brüstet. Zur rechten bieten sich zwei Restaurants an, einmal da U Funtanin, links daneben dann Porto Nizza.

Ambiente 💫💫💫 Ersteres brilliert mit absoluten Feinschmeckereien, Porto Nizza ist allein schon vom Anrichtstil seiner Tische auf kleinerem Niveau (als Menükarten dienen hier vollkommen ausgelutschte DIN A4 Blätter mit einer Liste von einfachsten Speisen). Plätze sind ausreichend vorhanden, wenn man rechtzeitig vor Ladenöffnung reserviert, stehen die Chancen gut einen netten Tisch zu bekommen.

Publikum💫💫💫 Im Gegensatz zum Laden nebenan war das Publikum recht mittleres Level, auch Familien mit Kinder haben sich eingefunden. Will man mehr etepetete, muss man sich woanders umschauen.

Koordination 💫💫 Wenn der Laden erstmal voll wird, wirds mit nachbestellen schon Problematisch. Man wird leicht vergessen, die Bedienungen sind überall und nirgendwo. Kein System, keine Aufteilung, die Gesichter der Kellner u. Kellnerinnen sind recht bedrückt, hab schon freundlicher einen Drink serviert bekommen... Alles dauert etwas länger. Essen kam recht flott, was aber auch unserer frühen Ankunft geschuldet war.

Qualität💫💫 Essen war recht ok, Pizza war gut gebacken, Nudeln mit Muscheln hatten ordentlich Knofi drin. Die Antipasti mit Aufschnitt war hingegen der totale Flop... Lustlos angerichtet, paar Scheibchen von 3 Sorten Wurst, paar Oliven und ein Stück langweiges Salatblatt. Hätte mir wenigstens noch eine Creme, Aufstrich oder was in der Art gewünscht, um das brot anzuschmieren. Öl, Essig u. Gewürze stehen nicht auf dem Tisch, muss man vermutlich extra erfragen. Tische und Stühle sind recht ausgelutscht, scharfe Kanten muss man in Kauf nehmen. Als Tellerunterlage dient bedrucktes Einwegpapier, das scheint in der Gastroebene aber Standard zu sein. Zum Nachtisch kann ich leider nix sagen, denn es kam wie gesagt niemand mehr um meine Bestellung aufzunehmen. Bin seit 3 Tagen in IT und das war bisher die schlechteste Location. Schade eigentlich, denn die Aussicht ist fantastisch.

Preise💫💫💫💫 Für 3 Leute haben wir rund 60€ gelassen, ging eigentlich: 1x Pizza, 1x Antipasti, 1x Nudeln, 3 Getränke, 2 Espresso

Fazit Gut gemeinte 3💫💫💫, sehr verbesserungsbedürftig in Koordination und Aufmerksamkeit. Tolle Aussicht auf den Hafen.

The food here is great. I ate here 4 times in a week because, as well as good food at a good price, the space outside is much better than sitting against a road In Ventimiglia, the choice on the menu is great and it’s only 2 mins from my place. However, I give it 4* because the service is just a bit off. Maybe it’s because I’m not Italian or I’m missing something. But they seem annoyed when you arrive and ask for a table (especially if you haven’t booked - then there’s lots of chat and debate even though there’s about 50 free tables) and then you have to chase them to get served. Even though there are a load of young waiters just “hanging around” who all say “someone else will serve you”. You do get served eventually and the food comes pretty quick when you do.
