Just came back from Venti. But not really. Because the darn place wasn't open despite their posted hours on Facebook. And, of course, Venti's website doesn't work. If you're interested, the domain name for the restaurant is available for anyone who wants to buy it. That should have been the only only clue we needed to avoid the place. Nonetheless, we turned to Facebook which shows Venti is open at 12 pm on Saturdays. We stroll thru Ventimiglia Alta, make a few wrong turns but find our way to the front door of Venti which, as you may have guessed, IS NOT OPEN AT 12 PM. In fact, from the appearance of the place it appears to be permanently closed. People, if you're going to be a owner/chef of a restaurant invest in a single team member who will keep the hours updated, the menu updated, and not frustrate the hell out of your potential diners. And, BTW, we crossed paths with several other potential guests of Venti equally frustrated. The only reason it got 5 points was for atmosphere - which, BTW, the restaurant had nothing to do with it. Service was impeccable. Not only were the two waitresses very professional, they were also clearly enjoying working there and made the atmosphere even better because of it. They made sure to explain everything in English to us. Also a great wine recommendation, that went well with every single course we had.
The restaurant itself was small and cosy, perfect way to spend an evening. Outside looked beautiful as well.
Only issue we had - and not the restaurants fault - was the very difficult parking. The restaurant is located on Ventimiglia Alta and access was not the...

The venue, dining beneath the olive trees with a quaint hilltop view set a relaxing, comfortable mood.
The food however was the star. Chef prepared everything perfectly. We were so enchanted and enjoying the food and experience so much that we didn’t think to take any pictures of the food until the desert course. My apologies to any readers of this review. Take my word for it, it is fantastic.
If you are in the area you must go. This was a highlight meal of our entire two weeks in France and the...
