We were made to feel welcome and comfortable. We had 2 glasses Franciacorta for aperitif. Pintxos, mixed starters, we actually shared this, and they were delicious. Spaghetti with yellow cherry tomato sauce and tuna tatare, unusual and very good. Grilled Turbot on fennel cream and fresh salad. Fish perfectly cooked, and the salad was well dressed , with interesting flavours and textures, including crispy crumble bits. Desserts, we had a strawberry and mint crumble tart and an indulgent chocolate and coffee tart, both very good, melt in the mouth and tasty. Read moreWe have been staying in Ventimiglia for a wedding for the last few days. The food across Ventimiglia has been wonderful. This restaurant is by far the nicest steak and chips I’ve ever had anywhere in Europe. I would go one step further to say this is the best steak and chips I’ve ever had ever. I will return to Ventimiglia every year on the same day to have the steak and chips. Unfortunately, my friend Simeon couldn’t make it and he will regret not being able to enjoy the steak and chips for the rest of his life. His attitude towards a foreigner attempting to speak Italian came across as offensive, as he seemed to mock the way I spoke. On the other hand, the other waiter was friendly and helpful.
