Europa — Restaurant in Vieste

We, a couple, had lunch here twice during our week in Vieste. The first time it was randomly chosen, but we were treated to a fabulous meal consisting of 2 appetizers followed by spaghetti with mussels in a tomato and olive oil sauce and a grilled orata. Everything was done perfectly and generously served. The dessert was a chocolate soufflé with a pistachio filling.

The second time was the piece de resistance. We preordered the zuppa di pesce, a combination of different local fishes in a rich broth with tiny vegetables and bread, in order to give the chef time to gather the ingredients. The broth was rich with the taste of the mixture of the five different fishes plus shrimp, mussels, clams and calamari. It was served in a giant vessel with grilled bread drenched with olive oil. It was the perfect zuppa and its memory will live on in my mind together with the kindness of Chef Elia who shared his philosophy of cooking with us. The owners Elia and Filomena re wonderful.Elia speaks Fluent english so feel free to ask for whatever you would like.they have a wide selection of italian dishes as well as pizza and grilled meat,i am already drooling at the thought of going back there.the tables are served by Filomena and she is such a sweet and proffesional person.be sure to stop for lunch or dinner,feels like eating food cooked at home by an italian Grandma.

Appena arrivati a Vieste. Siamo in tre e, in attesa della consegna della camera, siamo andati a pranzare alla trattoria pizzeria Europa. Da subito ci ha colpito la gentilezza e il sorriso della ragazza che ci ha accolto e che presumo essere la titolare o tra i titolari. A pranzo stiamo leggeri e quindi prendiamo un orecchiette con cime di rapa, un cozze ripiene, un impepata di cozze e una seppia ripiena. Tutto squisito. Compreso il pane. Tra l'altro usato per inzuppare nei brodini della impepata e della seppia che erano squisiti. Prezzo assolutamente onesto. Ci torneremo. Consigliatissimo. Aggiornamento dopo 12 giorni di vacanza. Con questa sera siamo tornati 3 volte. Confermo la recensione e aggiungo che spaghetti alle vongole buonissimi e consiglio il Risotto alla marinara, minimo 2 persone. Merita l'attesa di 20 minuti!! Uno dei più buoni che ho assaggiato. Una menzione speciale a Maria Grazia per l'attenzione, la simpatia e la disponibilità oltre che alla professionalità.
