This was one of the absolute highlights of our trip to Akita. It is HUGE and we were there on a Friday night with few other customers. It felt a little… lonely at first. No problem; the owner is a GREAT guy with lots of stories about Akita, jazz, and playing with the greats. Like Freddie Hubbard and Herbie Hancock! Then he shows us the wall behind the performance stage - the signatures are AMAZING. I should also point out that his cocktails are out of this world. Perhaps “Out of Blue” would be better, as that is the name of the Cat Walk original cocktail (excellently minty) I ordered. I strongly recommend it and the “Hi-hat”; which seemed appropriate for a jazz club. We plan to make Cat Walk a must whenever we are in Akita!

Went here on a Saturday evening. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. The boss and the singer were great hosts and we had great conversations. If you ever visit Akita and feel like a casual night with good music, good company and tasty drinks, definitely visit The Cat Walk. Next time we are in Akita, we will definitely visit again.

Went here on a Saturday evening. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. The boss and the singer were great hosts and we had great conversations.
