Japanese language only, no English support.
Before coming here I thought the other English language reviewer was being overdramatic but no, they're right, this is the best cat cafe in the world. The cats are humanely kept and very happy (except when not receiving attention). The cats are very human sociable but still very much cats and behave as such. The cats came to the door to greet us but but were well mannered and didn't dash outside.
The food and drinks are pretty good, but cats are the specialty. The staff, who I assume are the owners as well, are very nice as well. They'll also periodically bring you toys or snacks to interact with the cats with, once even bringing Tom the cat to our table with some treats for him! Tom also started licking my cake, and the staff quickly noticed and exchanged my cake for free.
At other cat cafes, the cats are obviously stressed and don't really want to play with or be around humans, especially at ones that serve food. The focus at them also seems to be picturesque for Instagram, not to just enjoy food and kitty companionship and hijinks. This certainly isn't the case here, where it's a regular cafe that just happens to be shared with some very happy kitties. If you're in Aomori and like cats, you definitely should...
Read moreI came here whilst travelling in Japan, the owners/staff are very lovely people! My Japanese is very minimal so they did their best to communicate in English which is very appreciated! The cats are so lovely! I got to fuss them all and play with them, also got to give them some treats which they loved. It’s a small cosy cat cafe which I prefer over the chain cat cafes, you can tell the cats are very happy and well looked after. I had the beef stew and a cold coffee which was amazing! The beef was soft like butter. Very well priced I found too.
Thank you for a...
Read moreThe owner and staff are so kind and considerate! Even though there’s no English menu, the owner was patient with us while we used our phones to translate. And the cats are all so happy and calm! Much nicer than those big cafes, with so many cats who are stressed, and charge extra to feed them treats. Here, the attendant encouraged me to play with the cats, even though i was a little nervous and awkward as a foreigner, they were both very helpful and kind to me.
Will definitely return! If ever visiting Aomori city, please visit and support this...
