This place is absolutely amazing. It's a traditional mom-and-pop ramen shop. However, this is a veritable hidden gem in Aomori for people who love ramen and noodles. If you're in the mood for ramen and you're in Aomori, you must absolutely visit this place. The owners are very accomodating even if you're a foreigner. Ramen here is among the best I've ever tasted in the whole of Japan. The spicy ramen is to die for. If you absolutely love spicy ramen, order the 5th level of spiciness. You will not regret it. The taste doesn't get old and you'll find yourself eating more and more of the ramen. My only qualm is that the food is a tad on the salty side of the spectrum. I've eaten a lot of ramen in my life. Around the world. But this ramen was the best of all. The small restaurant is located a little away from the city center. But easy to reach on foot. Although my Japanese is not good, the waitress did her best and was very helpful and patient. I was in the restaurant on a cold winter evening. Music from the 2000s ( Asian Kung Fu Generation, Utada Hikaru, Bump of Chicken...) was playing and I felt a little like I was in an episode of 深夜食堂. Without a doubt, this is the best Ramen I have ever had. There's six dishes on the menu, all VERY reasonably priced, around 800 yen and the one I had, which was just the normal ramen was INSANELY good. The pork melted in your mouth, the noodles were cooked to perfection and the broth, oh my goodness the broth was unlike any ive ever tasted. Rich and umami and warm and filling.
