Starbucks Coffee - Aeon Mall Asahikawa Ekimae — Restaurant in Asahikawa

Starbucks' drinks are absolutely THE BEST!!! Although I'm a foreigner and it's hard for the staff to understand the birthday rewards policy I was talking about - since such thing doesn't exist at Starbucks Japan, the staffs really did their best to explain and help me out. Not quite spacious but they know how to make the best out of it so customers could still find a comfortable seat, even a good place for cultural experiences I thought since even the Japanese I saw here were speaking English! I guess the staff were afraid they wouldn't be able to write my name right so everytime I came they wrote "Thank You" with a cute drawing instead! 😂 Also, fast and easy to use drink tickets/virtual...

Barista was noticeably unhappy about me not liking my drink - despite Starbucks own public statement "If you don't like your drink [..] you may ask your barista to remake it."

When making such cocky statements as a global brand, maybe ensure that your partners, despite the location, are aligned..

We ordered two drinks of which one came out below expectations. When asking to change one drink, it was obvious that the barista was not happy about it. While we got a new drink in the end (with noticeable hesitation), she made it clear that she would not do it again (see screenshot from Google voice translation).

旭川駅前のイオンモール内にあるため、特に冬は外の厳寒を避けつつ、旭川を出発する目的の鉄道、もしくは空港へ向かうバスを待つまでのコーヒーブレイクに利用できます。同様のことを考えて利用している人は多く、慢性的に混雑します。特に電源が設置されているカウンター席は満席となっている確率が非常に高いです。1Fにあり同じ階にはフードコートのフリースペースがあるため、テイクアウトでドリンクを購入した後フードコートのスペースで飲む、という人もいます。 スタッフの対応もとてもよかったです。そつのないテキパキとした注文・会計・給仕の処理だけでなく、電源が使えるスペースを探していたところ「こちらの利用も大丈夫ですよ」と、カウンターではないがコンセントが利用可能な席を案内してくれました。旅の小休憩に、または旅の終わりに再び利用したくなるカフェです。
