Great place to stay. We stayed 3 nights early June 2019. Pros: -Location: the hotel location is great, right next to the train station, above a shopping mall with lots of restaurant choices and shops and supermarket if needed and sort of centrally located in town. -Service: the staff is super helpful and polite. -Facilities: the common areas are very contemporary with a timeless design. And has an onsen baths for male and females if u wish to try it. -Accommodation: the rooms are typical Japanese size but comfortable enough for 2 people with modern style and good mattress and bathroom divided in shower cubicle and toilet with basin. -They pay extra care with details that put a smile on your face like having a multiple head charger cable in the room to cater for all charging needs and brands. Also next to the reception there is a room with a dozen different pillow types for you to choose as extra pillows to bring up to the room, including the famous Japanese pillows filled with plastic beans in different sizes and density.
Cons: Only thing to consider is that the rooms dont have black out curtains so if you are light sensitive bring a sleeping mask with you or ask at reception for one
Hope you enjoy the hotel as we did...its a guaranteed good stay

Read moreWe stayed here last week for three nights. Its convenient location to the Asahikawa station, Aeon mall and Heiwa dori shopping st. Once you deboard the train, look for North exit (West side) and immediately you would see JR Inn sign on your left. Upon entering the sliding door, you would locate the lift on the left that would take you to level 5, the reception area.||Check in was smooth and quick. One unique thing about this hotel was the pillow room where you could select from a variety of pillows that you could take to your room in addition to the one that was provided in the room. Public bath and library was also available. ||The room itself was quite compact. Not large, but bigger than a few of Tokyo’s mid range budget hotels ( if you know what i mean). It came with a sofa and a small table as well as 2 double beds. The bathroom was Japanese style with the Japanese toilet bowl (with bidet of course). The room was very quiet. There was no traffic or train noise, a great perk for the light sleeper like myself.||As the hotel was located in between the train station and the mall, you would have plenty of choices for local eatiries, shops and convenience stores.||I would highly recommned this hotel to anyone staying...
