Gokoku Asahikawa Ekimae — Restaurant in Asahikawa

I had a grilled black cod 銀たらset but changed white rice to multigrain and added a warabi mochi cake. Also added a fried oyster from sedo area 瀬戸内海.

I love rice cooked in the pot. Especially they cook it after you order. So it has the “just done” flavor. Also black cod was cooked just right and full of rice sake flavors. Also fried oyster was very fresh. Also last but not the least warabi cake was mochi mochi delicious.

Staff were all courteous especially when I had a trouble with my Suica card transactions. I was happy it was solved and the problem was on my side....

Food was so-so nothing special. Ordered the chicken karaage meal but the chicken wasn’t crispy and was bland.

Service staff was extremely rude especially the lady with glasses. Doesn’t bothered to patiently explain about the meal. If the restaurant is packed I still can understand but the timing I went ard 8pm the restaurant was mostly filled with people already have their meals. Worst of all, I am not sure whether is it the culture of Japanese, we can’t ask for any spoon to eat rice and soup. They just reject our request and...

Not generally a rice pot fan and the first time I had it was at a restaurant at JEM mall (Singapore). It was totally unforgettable.

Eating it here was a wonderful experience. My nephew is entirely happy with his triple fish set ¥1890 where the fish were grilled perfectly and not overcooked.

I had the healthy chicken vegetable set ¥1490 and wasn’t expecting much but the chicken was so fresh (not frozen). We also both enjoyed our rice pots especially his chazuke.
