Coffee Plaza East / Higashi Photo Studio — Restaurant in Aso

We did not expect much because most restaurants nearby are already closed and this one stays open until 9pm.

Polite and efficient staff. This is one of those small restaurants where you could not expect anything super fancy. But the food actually tasted better than you see in pictures. Decent portions, super reasonable prices. I loved how crispy the TAKANA rice tasted. The beef was soft and tender.

The best restaurant we came across throughout our 2 weeks travel in Japan. Everything was great! The food was delicious. The hospitality made you feel like you were home. The ambiance and the view is incredible. As much as we want to keep it hidden from the world to have it be the same when we come back again, they deserve...

As mentioned by others, only a few food stores near Aso station, and even fewer that opens late at night. Was staying at Fairfield, and came here for a late night dinner.
