Cocolate Cafe — Restaurant in Beppu

I went in the morning with my friend. I got the morning set with an ice coffee. The meal and drink were delicious but even better than that was their willingness to accommodate my friend with a gluten allergy!

They made a separate meal for her (not on the menu) and created a special dressing that wouldn’t contain any gluten.

They went out of their way to help her have a great experience so that made this place a must to return to! We will definitely stop by next time we are in Beppu and are happy to recommend this cafe as a place to stop by...

Very cozy and warm local cafe with some delicious dishes. I ordered the pancakes with salad and egg and it was really really good. The owner was so nice and even explained how everything was made (some local healthy ingredients from the prefecture). The coffee was good as well and I was given some cookies on the side. Best egg on toast I have ever had in my life. I don’t know what it was but it was realllyyy good. My girlfriend got the pancakes and they were also really good. Simple interior but they played medieval Japanese tavern fantasy type music (the best way I can describe it). Frieren vibes hahaha.

Overall 100% recommend!
