Came for breakfast on Sunday 10am. The cafe is small probably 5 tables each with 4 🪑 It’s manned by an old couple so expect service to be slow. The menu is in Japanese so you need to google translate it. Once seated, the lady server served us water & when ready to irder we called out to her. She wrote the orders on paper but pls be clear on what you want to order due to language barrier she might get ‘annoyed’ Our family of 4 order 2 identical sets which bagel 🥯 & French toast There is no need to get your cutlery The food is really tasty Parking 🅿️ is limited to 4 cars in the front porch After my wife had made the payment, we walked to our car 🚗 & about to drive off, she came out & knocked on our side window, she seems agitated. After some com, realized she only collect payment for me & wife but not my children 🤣 Some review mentioned about smoking 🚬 I didn’t notice any ash tray on tray or smell. As for racism, no comments as I don’t understand local language 😂 but from her tone it may sound agitated 😣

A very nice little cafe with excellent quality of food especially the bread ! Nice view overlooking at the Beppu Bay with a cup of coffee . Also a very good place for a delicious breakfast ( before 11am ) for just the price less than a bowl of ramen .

Plus Points: *Great view from a high altitude *Great food and service *Reasonably priced *Spacious and comfortable *Large food portion *Parking available for about 4 cars *Quiet servers, but warm up quickly if you speak Japanese to them nicely *Talked to them a bit *Although, a bit far, it is worth the trip Challenges: *Bus ride from the station is more than 30 mins *Best to go by car *Since it is quite a distance, best to call before going to ensure they are open 別府の滞在中に大変お世話になったお店です。 厚切りパンのサンドは豪華！ カツカレーは最高！ 静かな店長・おかみさんですが、話しかけたら、楽しく会話ができました。 焼きたてパンも販売されています。 人気があって、すぐ売り切れになるので、 早めに行ったほうがいいではないと思います。

僕は、韓国から友達と大分旅行に来ました。３日目、別府から由布院に行く途中でした。 良い雰囲気のカフェを見つけて、コーヒを飲もうとしたところ、ご主人のような女性に屈辱的な扱いをされました。同行した人達の一人がカフェインが苦手なので、Decaff ができるかと尋ねたが、"何ですか？Decaffって?"と聞き返す。 カフェインの少ないコーヒをと返事したら、一言で "できません！"と。その後、"さよなら！"という冷たい一言が飛んできました。背を向きながら。一瞬、自分が何か失礼な事でもしたのか、日本語が下手だったのかと思いました。でも、すぐ分かりました。外国人にはそんな気を配りながら、商売したくないとの気持ちが伝われました。直ぐ様、同行した人達に帰ろうと言ったら、もう一度、"Good...
