You should definitely try their signature Ebi Fry Don when you visit Cafe Junpei. The best Ebi Fry Don I tasted.

Food: Portion is very worth to order the 4 Ebi Fry Don. 1 bowl can definitely fill you up. The ebi was fried to a crisp but the prawn was well marinated and tender on the inside. Most of the menu is already sold out or not available when we enter for lunch so do check with the staff what is still available and what is not. Also, I have never tasted such delicious Fried Ebi.

Service: Nothing short of the service you will see here in Japan. Polite and courteous.

This was the best ebi katsudon I have ever had in my life! My partner got the curry ebi katsu while I got the original ebi katsu (best-selling set) and it came with miso soup and salad. The ebi katsu was crispy, fresh, tasty and absolutely filled with prawns inside! The sauce drizzled over the ebi katsu complimented it so well. Additionally, service was very quick. We were immediately sat down and our orders were taken after a short while (they do not have much on their menu) and after about 5 minutes, our sets came out piping hot. We drove a long way from Sapporo and there were only around 10 people waiting before us. However, it still took us around 2 hours to wait for a table because the restaurant’s serving priority was groups of Korean visitors, which they did not mention at any means. So there were around 150 Korean visitors getting off from 5 buses and getting straight into the restaurant before us.
